Friday, the day The Captain set for your murder deadline, arrives without much fanfare. There are no trumpets, you aren't woken up by any kind of monologue or announcement... dawn simply arrives. Wonder what that means. Maybe yet another of The Captain's plans has fallen through.

The hallway outside of your rooms seems free and clear of anything suspicious, but... something tells you it might be a good idea to check farther afield. Happy investigating, passengers!

[Eventually, Constantine gets it in his head to go up to the top deck, and that's when he sees...well. It's hard to miss the red-clad body floating in the pool.]

Oh, bloody hell.

[The words come as a whisper under his breath as he stares, unable to avert his eyes. Of course it would come to this. Who was he to hope that this was something that could be avoided?]

[Data, who had been in the buffet with Constantine, follows his roommate towards the small crowd that seems to be forming!]

...oh.

[It actually happened.]

Constantine exhales sharply, squeezing his eyes shut.]

Who were we kidding? It was only a matter of time.

[Plumeria's not going to be too far behind in terms of checking out the top deck, honestly, there seems to be some commotion and--

Well, that sure is a dead body. Plumeria honestly has to look away herself when she comes upon it.]

...So someone actually took him up on it.

[That's disquieting as all hell.]

[Constantine glances towards Plumeria, a grim expression on his face.]

The Captain was right in one aspect--threatening someone is an awfully good way to motivate them.

[And now that someone's gone and killed another person, the Captain will only continue to use his tactics to get what he wants....]

[Going to the buffet is part of everyone's routine. Naturally, Filbo would tag along if everybody there just left somewhere else.

The only dead bodies he had ever seen were skeletons, long dead. Also they were grumpus bones, not humans. Still...this doesn't make the sight of a dead person be any less horrible.

He has to look away once the body is taken out of the pool, taking a shaky deep breath]

Of course.

[He can't help but mutter that. It seems somebody took the Captain seriously enough. Well, what can Filbo say, even though he pointed flaws in the threat to other people, he himself did take it very seriously if only because the Captain's threat was so plausible to him and his world. Perhaps someone else also thought it was plausible enough to warrant murder.

It was bound to happen if only by sheer numbers, really, but that...doesn't really make it any less painful and disappointing]

[ Chloe didn't want to see another dead body so soon. Just because she didn't know this one as well doesn't mean it's...pleasant.

She needs to step away; take a hit to keep her nerves from overwhelming her. ]
