Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[Piglet sneezes the second time Misfire boops him.]

His name is actually Yǔxuān, but I thought it would be easier if I used his English name here.

[Like she's using her English name! See? Matching.]

[Okay, the sneeze, despite how cute the pig is, is kind of gross. He shakes his hand and holds back from any further booping.]

I see. [At least, he gets the general idea.] He’s a cute lil’ guy. Is there a secret farm in here, or did he pop out of the machine?

He came out of the vending machine, yeah. Very rude of them to keep you in there, wasn't it, Piglet?

[Piglet looks up at her and snuffles. She nods.]

Exactly.

[Does Joy actually understand the Pig or is she bullshitting? Unclear!]

[Clearly, Joy and Piglet have a connection he can only dream of having with something, someday.]

...Do I want to ask about how the machine popped out something that's living?

It's not the first one. Hodaka's cat came out of the machine the other day too.

[She shrugs. This all seems perfectly normal and feasible to her.]

Another one for the ‘don’t question it’ pile, then.

[If he can shrug off being here, he can do the same for the mysteries of the vending machine.]

He’s taking it pretty well, considered. [He gives piglet an affectionate pat this time instead. Right between the ears.] At least, I think. Can pigs express contempt?

[Piglet snuffles at the pat before going back to sniffing around at the carpet.]

He's used to weird things happening, I think. Spacetime travel though a vending machine is, like, pretty lowkey compared to some stuff.

Did you know there's universes out there were humans have hot dogs instead of fingers?

Ever been to one where you’re forced to speak in song?

Yeah, there's a bunch of ones like that. Why?

[That feels like a specific pull, given that she just mentioned hot dog fingers.]

First, my condolences. Second, you ever notice how you sound slightly better there than you do singing like normal? And third, and perhaps most importantly, did the pig sing? Like, oink harmoniously?

I don't think Piglet's ever been with me to one of those, but animals vary in my experience. I don't sound any better than I do normally, though.

[On account of she's a Broadway actress either way.]

Maybe that's the difference between 'musical universe' and 'musical planet'...

Is interdimensional hopping a hobby of yours, or just one of those things that happens?

It's kind of my job. It's kind of something that just happens. You know how it is.
