Funeral Service for Adaman and Hodaka Morishima

[ An hour or two after the first trial's end, Hild and the Undertaker set out to invite as many people as possible to the Restaurant for the funerals of our dearly departed friends.

Why the restaurant of all places? Because there aren't enough chairs and tables elsewhere.

Indeed, some of the tables have been moved against the wall to make room for the seats. The chairs have been set up in four rows of six, like an improvised theater or a church. To the side, a small buffet has been set up courtesy of Obi, Mafuyu, and Hild. As for the main event? Two tables have been set up and decorated in black fabric and white flowers. In lieu of a live viewing, two drawings referenced from the profiles have been set up in the center of funeral wreaths... They're not the best, due to the artist's handicaps, but it does look like Adaman and Hodaka at least.]

You're not alone in feeling that, at least not here. But I'm fairly sure this Fontaine fellow is only a man behind a screen. Sooner or later he'll slip up, give us an opening, let us go somewhere that has his weakness laid bare... That's when we strike back.

Until then, the best thing we can do is not give in and be keep an eye out for those who would.

The answer is simple. He has no reason not to be honest about it, and it has weighed heavy on his mind for some time now. ]

[Mafuyu prepares rice, and plenty of it. You'll probably spot her at some point if you're out and about. She's constantly moving to the restaurant, bringing in more rice. While she could certainly just let the automation handle it... well, the restaurant's dishes are on the more elaborate side. The rice she's making is plain and easier on people's stomachs, so she's alright with the running back and forth between here and her suite.

Later, after the funeral, she checks on people individually. So if you're still around or... really, anywhere but your own room, Mafuyu will probably be approaching you at some point.]

...Would you like some water? Or I could make some tea, maybe? It's important to stay hydrated.

[It's only into the late hours that she visits the garden. She's stopped by the pond, looking... much more quiet, now that she's alone. Truthfully, she doesn't know where else to go right now. There's the memorials, but... it isn't quite a proper funeral service, for many reasons. So, instead, here she is, at the place where Adaman's body was left. Nothing is there now, of course. Like it never happened... huh?

...She puts her hands together and, silently, takes a moment to pray. It probably isn't worth very much, coming from her. But it's all she can do for the departed right now.]

[Mafuyu stops by as she's in the middle of putting bowls down, still working on having everything in place even now that people are here, it seems.]

Oh, Nandor-san! Actually, I just wanted to be sure-- I tried to make sure there's no garlic in any of the dishes, just in case contamination might be a problem. I don't know which particular vampire myths are really accurate.

But if there's anything else I can do to make things a little more comfortable for you, please let me know.

[Honestly, it would be weirder if there wasn't anyone in the meeting room, considering how occupied its been the past week. Still, seeing Dandy there, looking lost in thought is...weird. Dandy has thoughts, sure, but they're usually X-rated or completely stupid - as Misfire understands it, at least. So seeing him here, pensive as one could describe it, strikes him as nothing short of wrong.

Here he rolls up one sleeve just enough so he could tap his fingers on the control panel with the seven keyholes. ]

[ He turns his head to the Bathysphere itself. ] This thing looks like it's perfectly capable of taking us to the surface. All we need to do is find the keys to activate the control panel...

But I do not have a somebody special. I cannot eat a burger, or a ramen, or an ice cream. And, as I have forgotten my native language, I cannot even remember the name of whatever the closest thing to a burger was when I was alive. I think it was something like cubby...? Shit. Do you know what I am talking about?
