[Brett seems a lot better on Saturday morning! Far more present, at least - he never really allowed himself to seem all that openly upset in front of anyone yesterday, it's probably fine.
The morning's equilibrium lasts about until he passes through the lobby on his way to get some food and stops short, staring up at the large clock. According to that, it is not Saturday morning!]
Sunday? [He takes out his radio. That display also reads Sunday. He looks at anyone nearby, brow furrowed.] Did I...sleep through a whole day?
[It's not unheard of, but he's never done that without realizing before.
The whole realization's unnerving. It's with that weighing on him that he sets out to check out the new hall. The sight of the clinic is an immediate relief, at least. Brett may not know how to use a lot of these things personally, but they've got medics at hand. Anyway, it's certainly better than nothing. Remembering the other tapes, this is where he chooses to investigate, starting with searching through all the cabinets and drawers. There must've been a medical staff once, right?
Should any fellow citizens join him, he comments:]
We should all go over some of this first aid stuff together. Maybe spread these packs out.
[If that'll help. It could. Who knows?
By afternoon, he can be found sitting out on the patio, staring up at the sky. Such as that is, anyway. He's clearly been in the ice cream shop, but doesn't seem to have felt like constructing an entire treat; he's literally just taken a jar of maraschino cherries and is eating them like that.]
He built a whole underwater city, just so he could create an illusion that you aren't underwater after all.
Investigation!
