[Well, it's safe to say that trial fucking sucked. Therefore, some sort of afterparty is in order. Constantine is admittedly not good at throwing parties without some sort of liquor or other drug involved, but that's where Data and Sylvando guide him.

First order of business--invites. Upon returning to your rooms, crumpled pieces of paper have been taped to the doors. Written in poor handwriting is the following:]

meet at the lounge
bring whatever you want
[Simple, but effective. The lounge itself has been livened up a bit with Sylvando's help. Some nicely patterned fabric has been draped around on the tables to liven up the place a little, and snacks from the café and vending machines have been placed out for people to peruse.

A few supplies from the first aid room have been gathered, as well, for those who may need it. But perhaps the help is unnecessary, as tomorrow will likely bring another New Years Eve. And with it, another week of despair and frustration.

But for now, they can forget about that and pretend that all that matters is the present.]

But yes, you're right! No shame in letting someone else take the lead sometimes. Maybe I am starting to spread myself a little too thin.

I think everyone is feeling a bit of that. That there must be something else we can do. This situation is a really bad one to be in, and it's wearing on everyone.

I really do think you're doing a good job, Filbo. You look out for people and you do your best to help, and that's really admirable. Just checking in on us really does help, I promise.

[...this is the most round-about way of saying "you played laser tag with me when I was feeling awful and it really helped" because Yeager cannot possibly use his words like a normal person, I guess.]

[After three weeks of that it reaaaaally is starting to wear him down. Freyja and Yeager have told him he really has been of help, that positive feedback helping and giving him some drive to keep doing it, but...he really is running out of juice on that regard. Who'd have thought being in a murdercruise would be far more draining than being the mayor of a city? He didn't see that coming]

...I dunno what's gonna happen next week, but I'll try to relax for once. A little bit.

[As much as he can relax given where he is, but...for once? He'll try. If only so next time something awful happens he doesn't keep blaming himself for things that were out of his control.

He really should stop holding himself to higher standards than he should. It's starting to get unhealthy]
