[Well, it's safe to say that trial fucking sucked. Therefore, some sort of afterparty is in order. Constantine is admittedly not good at throwing parties without some sort of liquor or other drug involved, but that's where Data and Sylvando guide him.

First order of business--invites. Upon returning to your rooms, crumpled pieces of paper have been taped to the doors. Written in poor handwriting is the following:]

meet at the lounge
bring whatever you want
[Simple, but effective. The lounge itself has been livened up a bit with Sylvando's help. Some nicely patterned fabric has been draped around on the tables to liven up the place a little, and snacks from the café and vending machines have been placed out for people to peruse.

A few supplies from the first aid room have been gathered, as well, for those who may need it. But perhaps the help is unnecessary, as tomorrow will likely bring another New Years Eve. And with it, another week of despair and frustration.

But for now, they can forget about that and pretend that all that matters is the present.]

[Filbo blinks, slumping over]

If...if you don't mind...I'd like one. Everything is starting to be a little too much for me.

[It's not often he gets hugs, admittedly. It's been just two weeks of murders and it really is hitting him harder than he figured. Filbo may not break down or fall into despair easily, but...it really is starting to make him feel like he's not doing enough]

Flayn leans in and gives him the best hug her tiny arms can give. It is warm and gentle.]

[It's so unusual to actually be able to wrap his arms around someone. The majority of grumpuses are a little too wide to really do that -- therefore most hugs are kind of awkward, hah! This is almost a novelty.

Hugging him really is like hugging some sort of large and firm stuffed animal, all fuzzy, yup]

[Especially nowadays that moods are going up and down for almost everyone around here. Trying to keep morale going up is a herculean task and Filbo's efforts clearly aren't enough, unfortunately. If he has to go hugging everyone on the ship, then he will]

Oh, I know that. Lalli going around smelling people was more than enough to show personal space is an universal concept. I'm just glad not everyone is so nonchalant about it as him.

[Lalli's first reaction to seeing Filbo for the first time was poke him. It wasn't great, hah]

He does seem to not have a problem with going up to someone when he has something in mind.

Yeah, I kinda--I kinda like that about him. Lalli simply knows what he wants to do. And he doesn't say much, but when he does he really makes it count!

It is admirable, in a way. While it reminds me of an ally of mine who is a bit less amiable, Lalli at least does not share all of the same tendencies.

[Like if Lalli were as invasive as Linhardt she'd probably not like him as much.]
