it is a funeral.
[Well. That was certainly something.
Emotions are clearly high, so for once, Data steps out of his helper role and takes on the brunt of organizing the after-trial gathering. He's seen enough of them by now to know what's what. He's also seen more than enough in this particular trial to decide that the bar, while possibly being the most logical location, may be distressing to some! So instead, we're gonna do something different. Data will deliver invitations, that sort of look like a computer printed them, to each of the rooms:]
Please come to the ice cream parlor if you would like company at this time.
- Data
[Everybody likes ice cream!
There are no decorations, but there are some snack selections from the buffet and the cafe, depending on what you want, and a tray or two of mixed drinks courtesy of Jimmy Buffett. Data and Parker are both here. If you're sad, you may pet Parker (probably). If you're too depressed to make your own fancy sundae, Data will do it for you (definitely).]

snow room
...
[He closes the door.
Five minutes later, he comes back with a warm blanket and goes to drop it around Plumeria's shoulders.]

It's when Lalli comes back and she feels that blanket draped over her that she starts, looking up a bit and just...well, her gaze darts a bit.]
...You didn't have to go to the trouble, you know. But...thanks.
[It's quietly said.]

[Coincidentally, Lalli seems to be doing fine in the snow with his outfit. He's prepared for winter!]

...I didn't intend on being here for too long, but you are right. I wouldn't want to get frostbite, or anything like that.
[...]
You can stay, if you want. I'm...just not in the mood to mingle with the others right now.

[Lalli is actually a good choice of quiet companions, because he's a man of few words and is perfectly fine just existing in the same general space as someone else. So he sits down right next to her and starts patting some snow into a little ball.]
Want to talk? Or just sit quietly?
no subject
[She hates feeling like this. At least the fury was nice during Shard's trial, but now it's just...empty.]
If you want to talk, that's fine. But...silence is good too. Thanks.
no subject
[That seems like a safe topic.]

[It's not painful to hear about another goddess of the same name, at least. Go right ahead, Lalli.]

...I don't know too much more about her. She's one of the Icelandic gods. But Reynir talks about her sometimes and she sounded like an important one.

Half of those who die in battle are taken in by her... [In a way, it makes her think about how she and the other girls were taken in, and it gets something of a softer expression] I see. It sounds as if your Freyja has quite the busy job, but an important one none the less. I imagine those in her care and those who receive her blessing are deeply thankful.
...Would you tell me about another god? If you know about any more.
no subject
[Lalli only knows a little bit about the Icelandic gods from culture osmosis though, and he's about as absorbent as high school grade paper towels. So.]
Ukko is one of my gods. We pray to him for his gifts with the weather. Rain when the crops needs it, clear nights when we need to go scouting, that kind of thing. Him and his wife Akka using their powers of weather and land together are what allow the world to grow.
