[Well. That was certainly something.

Emotions are clearly high, so for once, Data steps out of his helper role and takes on the brunt of organizing the after-trial gathering. He's seen enough of them by now to know what's what. He's also seen more than enough in this particular trial to decide that the bar, while possibly being the most logical location, may be distressing to some! So instead, we're gonna do something different. Data will deliver invitations, that sort of look like a computer printed them, to each of the rooms:]

There are no decorations, but there are some snack selections from the buffet and the cafe, depending on what you want, and a tray or two of mixed drinks courtesy of Jimmy Buffett. Data and Parker are both here. If you're sad, you may pet Parker (probably). If you're too depressed to make your own fancy sundae, Data will do it for you (definitely).]

I am. Sometimes I feel much older.

...It's not something most people see, anyway. It shouldn't be.

No, it shouldn't be but civilian life can be just as brutal. I didn't come from a respectable neighborhood, after all.

That's true. I always knew there were harsh things, but I never understood until I saw it for real.

I wanted to believe that she was smart enough to realize that trying to go through it would never have worked.

We almost got it wrong last week. She probably saw that weakness and wanted to attack it.

Anyone could have used that. Plumeria probably could have. [If she actually did kill Freyja.]

Doesn't that just give her more reason? ...I don't know. I don't understand her at all.

When you're in a place like that... it's easier to go with the flow. I think, trying to get along with everyone when everyone wants you gone would have been better. I know it sounds rich coming from me but I didn't actually want anyone to die.
