it is a funeral.
[Well. That was certainly something.
Emotions are clearly high, so for once, Data steps out of his helper role and takes on the brunt of organizing the after-trial gathering. He's seen enough of them by now to know what's what. He's also seen more than enough in this particular trial to decide that the bar, while possibly being the most logical location, may be distressing to some! So instead, we're gonna do something different. Data will deliver invitations, that sort of look like a computer printed them, to each of the rooms:]
Please come to the ice cream parlor if you would like company at this time.

There are no decorations, but there are some snack selections from the buffet and the cafe, depending on what you want, and a tray or two of mixed drinks courtesy of Jimmy Buffett. Data and Parker are both here. If you're sad, you may pet Parker (probably). If you're too depressed to make your own fancy sundae, Data will do it for you (definitely).]

Even if it doesn't make any difference now, I don't like the idea of everyone thinking poorly of her because of me. I get how things probably looked to all of you, but she was still the only person who'd always stood up for me back when I really needed it.

I guess what we all think doesn't matter now...
[Filbo doubts many are going to be spitting on Alice's memory or anything, but it's unlikely anyone changed their opinion because she really loved Decus. The opinions about her probably are worse than before because she's a culprit who killed Sylvando. Ouch.
Welp, he's not sure if this is a good idea or not, but Filbo says it anyway:]
No choice but to focus on getting off this ship, Decus. I just hope it will be alongside us instead of...you know. [As a successful culprit] Even though, well, you had to do with Sylvando's death, you still are one of us, and it's us against the Captain. I'm not saying it to take responsibility off you and Alice, but it's his fault any of this could happen in the first place. If nothing else, maybe trying to defeat the Captain would be a decent goal? For now?
[And then who knows what you'll do, but at least you'll have the rest of your life ahead instead of being trapped on a murdercruise! Baby steps, really. Augh, why do things have to be so complicated, Filbo never knows if he's saying the right thing at all at times like these]
