WE'RE STILL HERE AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS FOR GRUMP'S SAKE
[Well today was quite the unusual way. Filbo pretty much went into his room and collapsed on his bed and just fainted because hey, everything that happened? It's overwhelming. Bluuuuuuuh.
A few hours later, once he recovered somewhat, Filbo just goes and gets paper. This is a ridiculous situation, but...hey, no matter what, stuff needs to be done]
I know today was a really weird day, but let's try to gather and see what happens. There will be ice cream at the ice cream parlor in half an hour. With everything that happened we really should try to at least not forget we need to stick together for whatever reason.

[Geez.
Well, he goes and does exactly what he said: this time it isn't booze, it's all kinds of ice cream available for anyone who comes. The tables all have spoons and water because really, this is going to be a whole lot of sugar for everyone. Better this than alcohol, especially since things clearly have gone off the rails one way or another, so may as well gorge yourself with ice cream and try to gather your wits for whatever the next week can bring]

[He nods at that, jotting it down.]
We'll back you up, of course. It may not be able to do anything at all, but that's why we'll form any other plans we can. I don't intend to sit idly by and wait for that thing to attack us again - and I doubt you will either.
[Of course, our options here are incredibly limited, and killing Jack didn't exactly solve the problem in the first place. But this is how Yeager's choosing to handle things, so here we are!!]

That bastard's probably scheming up ways to get the jump on us--and Davy's the only thing keeping him from making a move right away.
[He sucks in a breath through his teeth.]
He mentioned something about a ritual. I'd only guess that it requires the sacrifice or death of people aboard this ship to complete it.

[The rules of this game and the motives also make sense with that in mind.]
But we don't really have anything solid to explain just what that ritual could be for... That's what we really need to figure out, I think.

It's always one of three things--money, power, or revenge. For some reason, I don't think money's what the "Captain" is after.
[A pause.]
Davy seemed knowledgeable about it. If Jack's dead, doesn't that mean that his office is free to be investigated?

[Which leaves power, and you can never have enough power.]
I certainly hope that's the case, but I think we need to be careful. If Mr. Jones is able to calm that thing down, it may decide to take up residence in there - especially if there's something in there it doesn't want us to find.

I don't doubt that it's already making plans. Whatever it wants from us, it wants badly. And I have a funny feeling that's gonna reflect on whatever rules it puts forth.
[Speaking from the future on Tuesday--it's bad!!!]

[Eventually. And definitely not by Tuesday, oh god.......]

[Constantine pauses, running a hand through his hair.]
Maybe we're just going about this the wrong way. Maybe we're missing something right beneath our noses that'll tie this all up.
...Or maybe I'm just gettin' desperate.

[If someone found something and forgot to tell anyone before they died... But hopefully that hasn't happened.]

We can call a meeting later in the week--one that helps us go over everything we've encountered so far. The more comprehensive, the better. And maybe, if things go well, we won't devolve to putting things on bulletin boards and connecting 'em in a tangle of red string.

[strangled by red string............]
But yes, that sounds excellent. We should hopefully be able to make sure everyone's on the same page, at least!
