WEEK 8

Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.

Your numbers have officially dropped to single digits. One of you managed to kill the first of the major living obstacles to your collective freedom. A ghost or demon or something nearly killed you. It was a weird week.

The cruise continues on, roller coaster back up and running as ever, arcade free and clear of coins. The last free floor of the ship is open, as well as part of the top deck with... well, something you might expect to see way more on a cruise ship than anything else here. One way or another, you get a feeling you can't shake - things are going to end soon.

No rain yet, but the clouds are closing in fast above you. A cold wind blows during the night, sending the ship gently rocking. Around midnight or so, if you head to the deck, you can hear thunder in the distance.

Hm...well...to be completely honest? Yes, she would. But I am not sore about that fact. She is happy to share her catch with everyone, including me, so it is not as if I am missing out.

O-Oh, sorry. Movies, though...that actually sounds fun! I did try to see what kinda movies humans had, but, eh...all that stuff Jack got in? All those 'facts'? Kinda drove me away, if I have to be honest with you.

It requires four to seven years of schooling to obtain a degree, as well as up to four thousand hours of supervised clinical experience in order to obtain a license. By Earth standards, at least. Our own Counselor Troi went through that path, although her Betazoid heritage did give her an advantage.

That is a fact of life. In Earth's current society, it simply takes different forms - political power, for example. People will no longer accept their fellow humans dying due to resources being withheld, but there are still structures of leadership and positions of importance.

I hope this about it taking too much processing power isn't hindering you, though...I mean, if it's taking that much then what if it doesn't leave enough for everything else? You're gonna be fine, right? S-Sorry, I dunno much about androids or...computers, really.

Filbo steps away from the wall, trying to smooth over the fur of his face and head except the tuft right on top -- his fur was already plenty smooth because he made sure he'd look presentable that morning, but still, when Data mentions his health, he just had to ensure he wasn't looking all messy right now]

It will be alright. I have a great deal of processing power.

[Normally he can run a ton of other processes in the background while doing stuff and talking to people, but apparently people kinda consider that rude...]

Nonetheless, I am concerned for everyone else aboard. Even Magica does not appear to be handling this well.

I have not noticed any in the library, but I am sure I could make some recommendations if we gain access to additional resources.

Oh, she is having trouble with it too, that's for sure. I guess there's stuff that can catch her off-guard...it's almost scary.

But it could be worse! She was, uh, well, she was very angry but I don't think she's gonna kill someone. The things she's hearing? It's, you know, people from a city near her strange face castle trying to organize a witch hunt against her. Haha...it must be so--so distressing to have an angry mob inside your head...so as long as she's angry maybe she'll be fine?

[He told Magica he wouldn't tell anyone about how she was like -- eating a breakfast of champions sloppily and hearing the voices of 'fake family', it seems. Well, he sure will try to keep that part a secret because he told her he would]

First of all, it's very well-made! Someone put some work into all of these. And she'll see some connectors to the rhyme for sure - there's hair woven into the seams, and the clothes definitely seem to be made from the clothing of the dead.

And uh. yes, tragically. Poor thing. ]

[Well, Data doesn't question it. Lying about that sort of thing is the kind of thing he would do, at any rate; it's important to keep promises.]

I also do not believe she will attempt to kill anyone. The associated risk is too great - perhaps she might have early on, but by now it is clear that a murderer will most likely be caught.
