Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.

Your numbers have officially dropped to single digits. One of you managed to kill the first of the major living obstacles to your collective freedom. A ghost or demon or something nearly killed you. It was a weird week.

The cruise continues on, roller coaster back up and running as ever, arcade free and clear of coins. The last free floor of the ship is open, as well as part of the top deck with... well, something you might expect to see way more on a cruise ship than anything else here. One way or another, you get a feeling you can't shake - things are going to end soon.

No rain yet, but the clouds are closing in fast above you. A cold wind blows during the night, sending the ship gently rocking. Around midnight or so, if you head to the deck, you can hear thunder in the distance.

It does not, no. I suppose it could not hurt to learn how to use it, but on the other hand, why not go with what you are comfortable with in a situation such as this?

I can already picture how it'd be like if I tried to use this machine: stitches all across the fabric, nothing really joined together, and somehow a few knots all over the place.

I suppose we could ask if anyone knows how to use them if they could instruct us. Though, we are, perhaps, somewhat pressed for time...

I don't think either of us is gonna get good with this machine before the ship's wrecked by...haunted lightning? Spooky storms? [...] ...ghastly downpours...? I dunno what's brewing out there, but it's close.

[Maybe the thing possessing Jack's corpse is actively drawing the clouds closer, in which case this ship will suffer the consequences in no time at all!

More like in eleven IC days, hah. That it comes slowly also makes it eerie, that's for sure, but Filbo will wake up every day being like 'wait the ship is still intact?']

True enough... I was originally hoping that was more ominous for Jack than for us, but I imagine that it is the responsibility of the current occupant of his body more than anything...

...the only good thing is that it means this all will be over? One way or another? Better that than having to wait forever...I guess?

[Sure is stressful that it's going to be over! But it's an ending and that's what matters. All they have to do is survive the ending and they'll be a-okay.

Besides, we have a lot of free time anyway. I'm not saying we should all laze around until disaster strikes, but there's no harm in trying to distract ourselves if there's a chance! For example, uh...the bumper cars don't seem to be as dangerous as an unsupervised rollercoaster. Not that it's too good with only a few people in it.

[He says all that as if of course there are bumper cars in Erdrea. For all he knows maybe there aren't]

But in any case, I have been meaning to appreciate films a bit more while I have the opportunity. That should be enjoyable.

O-Oh, sorry. Movies, though...that actually sounds fun! I did try to see what kinda movies humans had, but, eh...all that stuff Jack got in? All those 'facts'? Kinda drove me away, if I have to be honest with you.

Oh, yes, that is quite unfortunate. I do find them easy enough to ignore, at the very least, so it is not a problem.
