Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

Still, he gives Hodaka a kind smile when he speaks.]
Oh, Jonathan works well, sir.
[He looks thoughtfully back at the menu.
I suppose we could just order some items off the menu and see what they have to offer in person. It's not like we have to worry about paying for anything.
no subject
[ Hodaka's realizing... Is this how everyone else is with him? He gulps. ]
Just Hodaka, Jonathan-san. [ ...Okay look, this guy is clearly a grown man, he has to show respect there— ]
Um... W- well I actually tried yesterday but it was all a bit...rich.
no subject
Hodaka it is, then!
[He looks at the menu again.]
I suppose we could work around that, in that case! I'm sure there has to be something decent on the menu. In any case, I will have to find out what's decent; I don't want to rely on everyone else's cooking if I am to live here for an extended period of time.
no subject
Right. If...we're going to be here for an extended period of time.
[ He doesn't want that. He doesn't even know if she's okay- ]
I'm...pretty sure all the food's like...good by some definition, so...I guess it just depends on what kinda ingredients you like. And if you can stomach it all.
no subject
... We can get out of here. There are twenty five of us and only two of them. I'm sure we can think of something.
[To be honest, he's trying to convince himself as much as he's trying to convince Hodaka.
He's more toned down as he continues.]
I consider myself a rather adventurous eater, but my knowledge outside of English food is, truth be told, pretty limited.
no subject
Mmm... I was pretty used to Japanese food. Simple things. Hina-san— [ That doesn't mean anything to anyone else. He amends: ] Someone I...know can use some instant noodles and chips and make 'em part of a delicious meal.
[ Of course he's talking about her. She was the subject of a brief, fleeting thought, so now she's all that's on his mind. ]
That's more what I'm used to. Not all this...decadence.
no subject
[He nods along, but a small detail still out to him.]
Oh, if you don't mind me asking, but what are instant noodles?
no subject
[ As a Japanese teenager, Hodaka looks absolutely baffled. ]
You...haven't heard of... They don't have instant noodles in...ah, England...?
[ He said English, Hodaka thinks that's the right one. ]
no subject
[But he gets a feeling that he is not referring to dried pasta, since he would hardly call it "instant".]
no subject
[ Give him just a second here, he's baffled. ]
Well, it's, uh... Like, when you've got packaged food that just needs water. You pour boiling water in for...the instructions say three minutes but it tastes better with just two, and then you can just eat it.
