Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

[ Well... He's not looking at anything in particular, but he is going to look at where the statues used to be. It must have taken a lot of manpower to take out whole statues, after all. Maybe it might have left a mark. ]

[ Oh the marks of the removal are all over the pedestals - they're all pretty banged up, even after the scraps and loosened pieces got cleaned. ]

[giddyundertaker]

Hm...

[ He brushes his fingers over one of the pedestals, wondering if there might be something hiding in there.

What might be around the pedestals, then? ]

[ This place is pretty well cleared out, and was pretty well trashed before that. It's impossible to tell even how many statues there were here - some are entirely missing, pedestal and all.

But you're a man who knows his way around death, Undertaker - some of these? Some of these are bullet holes. ]

[giddyundertaker]

Oh?

[ This, he wasn't quite expecting. He wanders around, feeling for bullet holes specifically. How many are there, and where are most of them? ]

[bathymetric]

[ The bullet holes are scattered around, but it's definitely consistent with some kind of large-scale firefight. ]

[giddyundertaker]

[ Ah, the aftermath of a hostile takeover, it seems.

Now to poke around that bathysphere a bit. Anything noticably off about that? ]

[bathymetric]

[ It's clear from looking at it what the Bathysphere's main function is - it's an enclosed elevator of sorts that leads out of the city and up to the surface - and by all accounts it seems to be in perfect working order! But if it was that simple, you'd all probably be out of here by now, right? ]

[giddyundertaker]

[ ... The door's locked, isn't it? ]

[bathymetric]

[ It sure is! Though it does look like there's a control panel one could check out. Maybe it opens from there? ]

[ Let's squint at that, then. What does this have to offer? ]

[bathymetric]

[ Well, there are definitely controls to reactivate the thing here! They're all currently inactive.

... However, there are seven keyholes at the top of the control panel, which seem to have been fitted on later? ]

[giddyundertaker]

[ Huh. Anything special about these keyholes? ]

[bathymetric]

[ Nope! Just some keyholes. That's all there is in this area as far as official Evidence goes! ]
