Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

The priests and paladins I know usually only pray to their God for the buffs and boons. It's the crazy ones that tend to go beyond that.
no subject
I'm not exactly a priest nor paladin, you know! Not that I even know what such things are... [...Though, the latter kind of sounds like what Kamado could be...] But I hardly see anything wrong to pray for a boon for all of us--almighty Sinnoh only knows that we will need it in a place like this.
no subject
Definitely the priest type. [ He has decided, Adaman's class is now a priest. ]
I'll pass on the buffs and settle for my magic back.
no subject
At least explain to me what such a thing is before you go calling me that!
[DO NOT BULLY HIM LIKE THIS... (please do, he deserves it--)]
But--wait, magic? You have magic, where you are from?
no subject
Of course I do, I'm a mage. [ He grins, this is something he has pride in to put it lightly. ]
If you're skilled enough to be a User in my world, you get assigned a class, enabling you to learn the traits and skills of that class. Priest is one of those too, but there's the standard warrior, alchemist, and so on.
no subject
That. All is just a lot of words that is going way over Adaman's head--but will his pride allow him to sound like he knows nothing about this? Absolutely not!]
I see! So it's like that in your world...
[he does not see at all but don't @ him like this--]
It would seem that your world has many different sort of jobs for one to take on. How fascinating!
What sort of magic are you capable of?
no subject
[ This is also probably more words Adaman does not understand but it's fine. Seo Dawon doesn't mind explaining if you don't mind him, actually. At least in this instance. ]
As far as my skills go, if you can think of anything elemental, I can use it—fire, water, wind, lightning...you get the idea.
no subject
Truly? I believe I can make sense of it--perhaps akin to a PokΓ©mon's moves, as there are many similar types to those as well! That is certainly quite impressive.
[...]
I confess, I am not familiar with a single thing that you have mentioned beforehand...I can't imagine that a world like that would be truly bad to live in, I suppose? Perhaps a bit boring, but...
[He doesn't see that much of a downside, other than it being droll.]
no subject
[ I am not going to go through the mental gymnastics to guess if Pokemon existed since Google does in his world, just as Goodgle. ]
Think of it like this: a portion of the population is able to do things like travel around the world in a snap of their fingers, create buildings instantly, heal wounds in a single incantation...if you can't do any of that, FOMO doesn't even come close to cutting it.
FOMO is "fear of missing out".
no subject
Closer to a pet, truly! But we consider them our sacred partners--we consider ourselves equal to them, and revere them as cherished friends and dangerous creatures all the same.
[None the less, though...Adaman considers all of that, for a moment, and he just mentally compartmentalizes all of it.]
That's... [Okay, he can definitely understand what Seo's getting at now at least.] It is akin to becoming an almighty creator in your own right; the power to do anything, essentially. I can see why such a position is so widely coveted, now, considering the power being given...
no subject
[ The existence of beast tamers in some class form does exist in his world, so he does get it, even if he's not one himself. The whole "sacred partner" thing scans too. ]
Right. Not every user can do that, but the most powerful ones, rankers, can.
no subject
[read: you would probably be mcfucking dead]
Of course, that is if you subscribe to the methods that my clan uses; I've seen some of the PokΓ©mon that the Galaxy Team has managed to tame, and they are quite powerful.
[...Still, circling back to the original convo now that he's gone on a tangent--]
And you must be an impressive one indeed, I take it? I can only imagine what you have managed to do with such a thing.
no subject
[ This is ironic actually, if he thinks about it. ]
Can you tell? I'm the strongest mage in Korea, even now.
