Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

[It's... just a robot. Mhm. Just a robot. She's just here in the underwater social experiment, and there's a robot.

Not that much weirder than her own life, actually.]

...Do you like plants, Misfire-san?

[dullshooter]

[By the end of the week we’ll forget what it was ever like to not have a giant robot walking around.]

I guess. [He shrugs.] I mean, it’s not like I dedicate myself to the field of horticulture or anything, but I can appreciate a good bit of green. It’s nice just to see something growing.

…And not in a creepy, ‘crime against nature’ kind of way.

...I don't really want to imagine what that would even look like.

[Some kind of underwater body horror thing? No thank you.]

I didn't think robots would appreciate greenery too. Mm, I learned something new.

[dullshooter]

[He nods, because he gets it. The horrors of the world are best left where we can’t think about them.]

Oh, yeah. And I bet there are ‘bots out there who are really into it, too.

[And only some in a mad scientist way.]

Not much experience with robots then?

[sastruga]

Robots aren't exactly common where I'm from. Ah...

[...Does Miku count? She is virtual, after all. But she doesn't really look like a robot.

Hm...]

I've seen animatronics before, but never a fully sapient robot like yourself.

[dullshooter]

Eh, that’s close enough. I’ll take it.

[We have people who don’t know what electricity is, Mafuyu. The bar is on the floor. Knowing what a furby is is good enough.]

What about you? These plants make the hotel feel more like a home?

[sastruga]

Mmm... I don't really know about that. It is nice to see, but my home isn't particularly filled with plants or anything.

We do have a lot of flowers at school, I suppose.

[dullshooter]

That sounds pretty nice. Unless that means being stuck here reminds you of being in school - then, decidedly less so.

['who would actually like being in school' - man who failed to graduate until the school got blown up.]

I'd rather it be like school than what it really is.

...Do you have something against schools, perhaps?

[dullshooter]

I've done my time in them. Too much time. [The years could be in the thousands.] If I wasn't averse to thinking about them any more than strictly necessary, I'd say the education system is deeply flawed.

[sastruga]

Hmmm... It's a shame you have such a bad experience with it. But, then, I don't really know what schools are like where you're from. They're probably completely different.

...To be honest, I didn't even consider that robots would have to attend school.

[dullshooter]

We've got to learn somewhere, right? Though I went to a military college, so that's probably pretty different to what you're used to.

[A pause.]

Unless you're about to come out with a secret dark backstory...?

[sastruga]

Ah hah... No, I'm afraid I don't have any particularly dramatic experiences to share. My school is pretty ordinary, really.

But, I see... Ah, that's right, your profile mentioned something about that, didn't it?

[dullshooter]

[If your school is normal then why Miku]

Sure did. Think it was under my ‘fun fact’.

[It’s up to the audience to determine whether it’s fun.]

Hey - wasn’t yours something about being in a band?

[sastruga]

...Yes, that's right. It's something of a secret, actually, but I'm part of an online music group with three other girls.

We all go by screennames, so no one really knows we're in it.

[dullshooter]

Cool and mysterious. Does that make you one of those ‘in it for the art, not the fame’ types?

[sastruga]

I guess it does. One of my friends does want to be famous and she really wants us to get huge numbers. But me, I just... want to keep going as we are.

If that means people want to listen to our music, that's just a nice bonus.

[dullshooter]

I can respect that. I mean, personally, I'd be going for the 'get rich quick' angle, but there's something to be said for just doing it for the hell of it.

[sastruga]

I don't think I could ever get rich from this, really. We have some internet fame, but that's the extent of it.

I'll probably have to quit, once I enter university.

[dullshooter]

Really? Won't that seriously bum you out?

Well, I can't simply keep doing it forever. I'll be so busy studying... ah, and I don't know if everyone will have moved on by then, anyway.

[dullshooter]

...Yeah, I guess everyone has to move on at some point.

[Something about that makes him consider his own life; they're just drifting through space, but maybe at some point, they'll want to 'settle down'. Do things instead of just being on the recieving end of whatever the universe has to offer. Have a stable life, God forbid.

And what then? What does he do, when everyone leaves for that?

Better not think about it.]

At least you're having fun now. Pretty sure that's what everyone says matters.
