Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

You mean that we ought to find a way to carry on relatively private conversations, or...? Private as in only among the group, that is.

The second of the two, I... [He looks over his shoulder, checking to see if anyone's listening in on their conversation.] To be honest, there is more to this party than just a simple get together, but I do not want the mayor to realize that I'm not content to live her for the rest of my life.

Ah... No offense, Jonathan, but I believe most people have made that sentiment rather clear already...

Don't worry, I'm aware, I just... I don't want the Mayor to find out that I'm actively trying to plan an escape. I had to do much of the same thing back when I was a prisoner at Castle Dracula, and the last thing I want is to have our privileges revoked because we want to fight back.

Of course. And I'm not saying not to worry, because all of this is a very real concern. But if we were to be punished for quite understandable reactions to things, I'd think we would have been after that gathering he made us attend, where he addressed us directly.

I'm also not sure that we can do that, at least out loud... If we knew where the - what did Rossiu call them - where the cameras are, perhaps we could find a way to destroy them, but I'm not certain how to do that.

Do you know what cameras are? I needed them explained to me.

I suppose that is true, but I cannot be too careful. I fear what would happen if we had a plan to escape and the mayor found out before we could enact it.

[He shudders a little imagining the scenario.]

But yes, I know what a camera is. But I am sure as long as we aren't doing anything overtly suspicious that the Mayor won't catch on. The photos shouldn't show anything more than pleasant chatter.

[So... he somewhat knows.]
