Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

[He looks down at Forrest's experiment as he takes all of this in.]
Hah, I never woulda guessed that's what you were doing. Now that you mention it, though...there really isn't any kinda first aid kit around the hotel, is there? Guess I shouldn't be that surprised though, given what the mayor wants us to do.
[But that's a downer subject.]
So, yeah! Good plan!
no subject
[Like, the topic is overall stressful, but the assurance is nice, if nothing else.]
My name is Forrest, by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you. Or, well, as much of a pleasure as it can be, all things considered.
no subject
[That last bit makes him go onto a little tangent...]
If there's anything I've learned from my first time doing this whole killing game thing, it's that forging bonds is super important. So like, even though it sucks to be here, at least we're not alone, right?
no subject
[Like, it's a little jarring to think that this person has been through this before, but...]
Was it Mayor Fontaine who did this before, or were you being held by someone else? This isn't my first time being abducted, but it is the first time I've experienced something quite like this.

[His face scrunches up a bit when he says "man", though. He's seen Forrest's profile and it clearly said "prince" on it, but like... Like!!
A-Anyway.]
But nah, it was someone completely different. One of my own classmates, if you can believe it. She was, uh... Something else.
[Truly, the mastermind of Danganronpa is indescribable.]

I'm likewise sorry that you've had to go through this before. When it happened to me, it was just...brigands, the sort who don't do anything convoluted such as this. Their leader seemed rather intent on having my head. Thankfully nothing of the sort happened.
no subject
[Like yeah it's not killing game levels or anything, but it's no less terrible to Hagakure.]
I'm guessing that had to do with you being a prince or somethin'?

no subject
That's...seriously messed up. On so many levels. I seriously hope they got what was comin' to 'em.

It's all right now. My father took care of them, as did my auntie. They wouldn't just leave me to try to handle something like that on my own; my father and I don't always see things the same way, but I was incredibly fortunate that he was there that day.
[So. Yeah.]
How did your...previous instance of all of this turn out? I do hope you weren't brought from one unfortunate circumstance directly into another.
no subject
[He imagines something like that would be super traumatic, but maybe it's not all that uncommon where Forrest is from?
Regarding Hagakure's circumstances...he just lets out an awkward, hollow laugh.]
That's, uh. That's exactly what happened. Out of a full class...only six of us made it out. We were just opening the gate to get out of the school when I suddenly woke up here.
no subject
[Oh, god, that's- ]
That sounds positively dreadful. But you did make it, in the end; you were highly fortunate, from the sounds.
no subject
[Hagakure lets out a small sigh, because he hasn't had much of a chance to stop and reflect just yet.]
I'll definitely never forget how lucky I was to get out. Even if I'm stuck here now, so many of my classmates didn't even get that far.
[...]
I've been tryin' to do as much as I can to fill everyone in on how these games work since. Make myself useful, y'know?

If you ever just want someone to talk to, I'm always willing to listen. You seem to be dealing with so much.
no subject
[What is he saying? Of course he does- of course he is dealing with so much. But like he said to Naegi, he's just...never really had many people to talk to. No one apart from his mom have even offered quite like Forrest is now, and he's only just met him!
Yeah, he's going to jump at the opportunity.]
I mean, if I'm honest...that'd be really nice, actually. I'm usually the one listening to others' issues, 'cause of my job and all.
no subject
[This is nice, honestly; everyone else kind of blows him off with regards to this.]
no subject
Cool! Okay...sweet, I'll letcha know when I'm ready, then! Thanks, Forrest.
