Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

[This sentence is uttered matter-of-factly.]
I've just gotta make a stop at BooBies before moseyin' into the intergalactic macrosphere and ensure there's some quality reading material [read: titty tabloids and nudie mags] of the adult picture book variety by my side, and I'm all set! It's as easy as one, two, eleventy-three, buddy.
[Sadly, that is how he believes that numbers work.]
I take it you're from darker times?
no subject
Man, that sounds like the good life...
[He doesn't fantasize for too long, though.]
Compared to that, yeah. That and well, we might've gone through an apocalypse while I was trapped in my first killing game. I never did get to find out if that was legit or not.
no subject
First killing game?
You mean you've been through this before?
no subject
[Dandy definitely would have heard him yelling about it otherwise.]
I'd literally just escaped and then I woke up here to do it all over again.
no subject
[He wonders if he regrets it, being asleep when the news had passed. While he's definitely hoping he can give that Mayor asshole a good old what-for, he wonders if that would really solve anything.]
I was catchin' some Z's.
Well, maybe think of it this way- You made it out the first time, so! Who says you can't just do it again?
no subject
[He was so close to being free...]
Did anyone already fill you in on what happened? I wouldn't mind.
no subject
[He hasn't really bothered to ask.]
But I've got a hold of a few movin' parts.
[Namely that the killing constraint sounds legit.]
Why? Are you up for the challenge?
no subject
[He was real bad at it his first go-around, so he's...trying to do better.]
no subject
Yeah.
[Dandy's the hot-headed sort, prone to wordy freakouts and fretful bouts of panic. In any other situation he'd be more worried, more concerned, and a helluva lot more likely to blame his two non-human counterparts, but this situation is different.
His communication bracelet isn't working, and instead of being stranded on one of those big, dumb rocks in the sky, he's hundreds and thousands of feet below the surface, in what some would consider to be a watery grave. Making matters worse is the fact that the multiversal cloud of static that usually blurs his consciousness has vanished entirely. Despite his lack of a typical genetic makeup, he can't do the things he's normally capable of doing, even though Dandy is entirely unaware that he can perform such marvelous feats in the first place.]
No kidding.
Well, how 'bout I make you a deal? You show me the ropes of this here killing game, and I teach you a thing or two about ropin' in the ladies.
[it's all bad advice, bad]
Whaddya say? Can we get a whole agreement thing goin'?
no subject
I was just gonna give it to you for free 'cause you seem like such a cool dude and I'd hate to see you go out, but I like this a whole lot more!
[He holds out a hand!]
You've got yourself a deal!
[In all honesty, it wasn't completely lost on Hagakure that his survival didn't come from his own merits. They lost so many people...many far brighter than himself, who may have brought so much more to the world. But now more than ever, he can't allow himself to dwell on it. He said he was going to make the most of the new lease on life that was given to him, and even though he didn't expect that second life would land him in yet another of these games, he's still going to make good on it.
If he can help at least one person survive, that's gotta mean something, right?]
oh no... this is so sweet
[Dandy grunts, although the encouraging smile on his face and glimmer of hope in his eyes suggest that this rudimentary mouth-sound is a sign of platonic affection.]
From one cool guy to another.
[He claps a gentle hand on the other big-haired man's shoulder.]
Lead the way, friend!
