Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

Oh man! Nobody does that anymore, but I remember when Pops made me take a class on it-- thought he was makin' a real good secretary outta me. [... Yeah. Jonathan can probably tell, from Zinda's everything, that she wasn't a secretary.]

They don't? That's quite a shame; I think it's so useful for writing yourself quick little notes!
[He looks away briefly.]
And... it's quite useful to hide secrets in case someone can't read it.

[She gives a good laugh, and invites herself to sit down.]
You gotta lot of secrets, Champ?

Nothing I can't tell you but... [He frowns looking at the notes.] I want to be careful if Mayor Fontaine ever confiscate my papers; I'm hoping he can't read shorthand either.

[He is absolutely smiling like a dork, despite that. His expression soon mellows as he picks up a sheet.]
To be truthful, some of these are actually for Mina, my fiancee. It... may be a vain hope, but I'm going to try to convince Eleanor to send a message to her so she is aware of... what's become of me.

Letters to your sweetie back home, huh? Good for you. What's she like? I'll bet she's real pretty.

[He smiles at Zinda before turning back to the letter.]
Oh, she's gorgeous, and is the most intelligent person I know. She's so gentle, but so determined in everything she does. She is truly my dearest friend and I feel so fortunate that she chose me out of every man in London.

Gorgeous, determined and gentle, huh? Sounds like you are the luckiest man in London.
