Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

[ It's okay, it isn't even an intended reference, Hodaka's just happy to see his boy. ]

I'll bet! [ And he pulls Rain back in to look over him. Little guy just hangs there, content. ] How'd you make it through all that, Rain? Huh?

[ Another mew. Hodaka carefully moves a hand under his back legs to better support him instead. ]

I guess it's a mystery.

Rain, huh? [Zinda taps her chin thoughtfully, gazing upwards like she’s thinking really hard.]

Ah! I got it! [She grins as she looks back at him.]

With a name like that, lil guys probably used to the water. It makes sense that gettin under the water with us wouldn’ be too hard. And once you’ve got that part done, the rest can’t be too hard. [When Zinda speaks, there’s joy to her voice—- but her tone never takes on mockery or jest.]

Huh? You… you really think he like, swam all the way to the bottom of the ocean?

[ That sounds so ridiculous. But it’s so much nicer of an interpretation than one could have, of this situation. So much so that, in his actually cheerful state right now, he can’t help but appreciate it. ]

Maybe! The scuba-divin' cat! [It sounds completely ridiculous.

Zinda loves to say ridiculous shit.]
