Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

Yes! I had decided to take a look around the garden the other day--other than the truly unusual creatures that inhabit these waters and the fact that they got a rank amateur to make their bridges, I found this item buried within the flowers!

[Adaman fishes into his pockets for a moment, before producing an audio tape and holding it out for Rossiu to inspect.]

Would you happen to know what this is?

[Rossiu accepts it, inclining his head a bit as he considers.]

Interesting. In the flowers, you say? I wonder why it would be there...

[Maybe we were meant to find this. Hmm. Well, regardless...]

This is an audio tape. It contains a record of someone's voice - I believe the radios should be able to play this...?

[This is sort of outdated technology, but definitely something he recognizes. We speedran through our tech revolution in Gurren Lagann so we maybe had tapes like this for like. A year?? Maybe?? Anyway.]

That is what I wonder as well. Though I like to believe it was perhaps simply a gift from almighty Sinnoh, that I was able to find this.

[Flower crown for an audio tape is an interesting trade, but hey! He'll take it, honestly. Adaman listens with rapt attention, though, and the idea that it could record a voice and play it back...!

He leads the way back to suite 4 and then to his room; it's basically entirely unchanged from when we arrived, so nothing out of the ordinary to see here. Anyway, once he's got that portable radio...]

[ It's a male voice, lightly accented. It matches with the audio log found in the pool, actually, if compared. ]

Y'know, it's funny bein' a groundskeeper when half the things groundskeepers do're automatic. They got some weird system that feeds the fish, automatic underground sprinkler things, automatic mowers... But I still gotta be here, and I still gotta record "for the city" just like everyone else, thanks to our dear Founder-

[ This is followed by the distinct sounds of someone tripping and absolutely eating shit, which cuts out as the tape is ejected. Rip. ]

Interesting. I wonder just how long ago this was recorded...

As do I. Clearly this man did not enjoy working for the Mayor, but what could have happened to him?
