Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

[If there's one constant to this place, it's that you can find Adaman in the gardens from now on; today at least, he seems to have brought a different offering. It's just a plate of very simple rice, but hey, it's an edible offering to god?? Don't worry about it. He'll be done well before the party starts, though, and he'll leave the offering out of the way so nothing (hopefully) interferes.

It's the silver coins that he had forgotten to take care of that brings him to the vending machine, and when he puts them in, out pops some...interesting items? That Hot Dog costume is getting an incredible look of scrutiny, uh.]

...What on earth is this even used for? Can--almighty Sinnoh above, is this some manner of costume...?!

[HE'S KIND OF HORRIFIED.

At any rate, though, he'll...be setting himself up in the living area of the suites, just kind of lounging on the inflatable crocodile and reading the Trust Exercises and You! book. There's some items neatly organized nearby, with a hand-written little sign:

Free to a good home.

Feel free to have at! Hell, he'll even give one the crocodile if they ask.]

[Aiba doesn't have any idea what's up with the costume, but she says this anyway:]

You should put it on.

[Adaman starts a bit when Aiba speaks up--truly, he'd gotten so distracted with the utter ridiculousness of it all, and when he finally registers what she says, he looks...skeptical, to say the least.]

Oho? And why should I? Is there something interesting about it?

It would compliment your colors quite well.

[Aiba, it's not like any of Adaman's colors would be too visible with the costume on]

[Wh. Adaman looks between the costume and Aiba, incredulous as hell, and--]

These seem to be the exact opposite of my colors, though? I am not certain what colors you are seeing to see such a thing, but...

[...]

Perhaps you ought to first? They seem like they would suit you far more.

[THIS MAY BE TOO SILLY FOR EVEN HIM, BUT ALSO: PART OF HIM JUST WANTS TO SEE IT]

[Oh. Oh, she should have seen this coming.

Fine. I will do so, simply because this way you can see how one's supposed to look with that on. I must ask you to close your eyes first, though.

[timegazer]

[There's a brief moment where Adaman is...confused? Like he looks at Aiba and tilts his head a little bit, but then it's like a lightbulb goes off in his head--]

Oh! Oh, that is--you need to change, of course! [MAI THANKFULLY TAUGHT HIM NOT TO BE A CUR.] Should we head elsewhere so that you may without any prying eyes? I do understand that it would be deeply impolite, though, yes...

[You best believe that Mai drilled that into his head, but either way, he'll actually cover his eyes! Go for whatever you gotta do Aiba.]

It's no problem. I just would rather not to be seen while I try to cram myself into this costume.

[As soon as Adaman covers his eyes, Aiba's human form is gone, of course. Can't project into his retinas if they're covered! But that should be fine, she's sure, she just has to hurry. Aiba comes out of her hiding place in a corner of the room and waddles towards the costume, grabbing it with her little paws]

It won't take long!

[Then begins to drag the costume out of the room and through the doorway. She's pretty strong, for something her size! Dragging this thing is no problem! Once it's out of the room she goes back into the room and hides once again.

Fun fact! Aiba created her human form herself. This means she can modify it if she feels like it, and that includes looking like she's wearing a silly hot dog costume. There! She prepares herself to project it into Adaman's eyes right away]

Alright, you can look now.

[When Adaman looks he'll indeed see Aiba with the costume on.

She looks absolutely ridiculous]

[Adaman is a respectful young man who'll absolutely give Aiba all the time she needs; he can only imagine how much of a rather...interesting sort of adventure getting into that costume is going to end up being. Which means getting into it himself, inevitably, is going to be an adventure in it's own right, but...

When Aiba tells him he can open his eyes, he doesn't waste any time in doing so, and he's greeted with the sight of...

...of...]

[timegazer]

[...HE IS TRYING SO HARD NOT TO DIE OF LAUGHTER HERE. Aiba can absolutely hear him corpsing, positively corpsing as his one bandaged hand comes up to try and muffle it, but soon he's just guffawing and--]

Well? Well? Aiba, you look positively ridiculous!

[...]

And quite simply, it's the best thing I have ever seen in my life, if not the funniest!

[HE MEANS THIS ENTIRELY POSITIVELY. HE HONESTLY SOUNDS CONVINCED AND LIKE. GOD.]

I dunno, but that hat matches your hair perfectly.

[timegazer]

[Adaman takes one brief look at the Wizard Hat and considers that for a moment...]

You know, you do have a point...

[Just give him a second while he pulls his hair down and--oh, Sinnoh above, his hair is a mess. He's kind of got to ruffle it around and then get the hat on, adjusting it a bit before turning to Zinda with a grin.]

Well? Do I pull it off? [He chuckles a bit.] I must confess, I haven't the faintest idea of what sort of person might wear this hat!

[specialyellthing]

[Zinda lets out a low whistle as he lets down his hair.]

Boy, you’ve got more hair than you know what to do with, dontcha?

I don’t think anyone sane would, but if you’re lookin to become a super villain, I’ve seen maybe three different guys that wear a hat like that.

[timegazer]

[Okay, that gets Adaman to laugh a bit.]

What I do with it is just keep it tied up, truly! Out of sight, out of mind! And out of eyes, most importantly. Otherwise I let it flow freely, at least until Mai sees it fit to pull me over and take care of it again!

[Adaman chuckles, though, incredibly fond. He'll adjust the hat a bit, considering that some...]

A villain, hm...I doubt that I could play a role like that, I confess. Perhaps I could be the first heroic sort to wear something of this caliber, instead!

I was gonna fight you on that, but now I’m remembering Gotham’s finest hero dresses like a bat. So you wouldn’t be the weirdest. Would hafta come up with some witty nickname to match it.

[timegazer]

[...Okay, that gets Adaman to laugh a bit; granted, he's imagining this man dressing up like a Golbat, which is nothing short of hilarious--]

Hmm! You make a fair point! It would not be fitting to use my own name for such an endeavor, but perhaps...

The blue star! [...Nah, he can't go that fast--] The shining diamond? Hmm. Perhaps I ought to think on this over, before I am to make a decision!
