Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

A decent person, first and foremost. Kaname Date is a man who is a good father and can get his job done, although usually because I put him back on track whenever he gets too foolish for his own good. Before I found out I was worlds away from him I had intended to inform him of everything -- he would solve this Mayor Fontaine situation.

[So although she talks crap about him, it's obvious enough from how she didn't hesitate to try to get in touch with him that she does trust Date far more than she lets show. Tsundere AI, pretty much]

It'd definitely be nice to have someone like that on our side, out there.

[Maybe he could solve it, maybe he couldn't. It'd mean a lot just to know that anyone knew where they were and was trying.]

I'm attempting to do what he would do, albeit with some...modifications. Imitating every facet of his personality would lead only to embarrassment for everyone. My point is, I will attempt to be the help he would be.

[Aiba doesn't consider herself a police officer at all, so it's not like she's particularly interested in keeping peace and order, but, well...one of the Laws of Robotics she's bound to is "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm." Doing nothing in the face of all these murder threats would go against this law.

Although Aiba plays the 'don't injure humans' part a little fast and loose, really. Many enemies have ended injured thanks to her calculations]
