Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

Maybe you could try asking Eleanor. She told me she might be able to get us some things, if we needed them.

She did? ...How've you been talking to her?

[ Truthfully Eleanor kind of scares him...but that's mostly because she showed up in like, armor, face to face, and he can easily picture her snapping his little twig body in half. ]

You can just go to her room.

[withagun]

Go to a girl's room...all by myself...

[ ...Hodaka blushes. ]

...just to talk? She does expect people to do that.

[The first time's the hardest! Not to say that Brett is especially anxious about these things in any case.

[calm cool interviewer voice, he is absolutely not just asking because he's Nosy and Sort Of Finds This Hilarious]

[He says with a sort of knowing tone, because - come on, you brought her up while freaking out about talking to a girl alone in her room, that wasn't subtle.]

What's she like?

[ Mmmnnngg...!!! Hodaka busies himself with petting Rain, who has busied himself with pawing at the corners of the menu. ]

Kind. [ Before anything else, she— ] She's the sort of person...who would shoulder any kind of hardship...not just for those she cares for. But for anyone. She's attentive...and thoughtful. And goes out of her way to help others.

[ Even stupid boys who can't see what's obvious. ]

She's...special. She's very, very special.

[ And, Brett's probably heard enough to see, Hodaka is completely 100% in love. ]

[Ohhhhhh, yes. He smiles, something soft about his eyes.]

Yeah, she sounds like it.

[ haha. hahaha. what were they talking about before- ]

Uuhhh- um, well, I don't- really think there's...anything f-for Rain, here, so... I should probably, um...check the kitchenette. In the- the suite.
