Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.

Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.

And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!

No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

Look, I hate the Mayor just as much as the next guy, baby! But I don't wanna mutter his name if there isn't a good reason for it. The guy's voice gives me the heeby-jeebies.

Okay, counterpoint: saying "thanks, Fontaine" whenever something goes wrong is super fucking satisfying.

[It's the incredibly petty nature of it, in her opinion.]

[He clears his throat, and there's definitely a few seconds of audible "hem-hem-hem"-ing that can be heard here.]

It's a little bit more colorful of a nickname, but... What can I say! I'm a colorful guy.

[In truth, he doesn't wish to utter it. That way, denying his reality will be far more easy to do. As they near Eleanor's office, he attempts to wiggle from Joy's grasp.]

What I've got goin' isn't a... Headache-headache? Not exactly.

[She laughs a little bit at his joke. It's more of a pity laugh than she really thinks it's funny but hey! It's something!]

Well. You do it your way and I'll keep trying to summon him like Beetlejuice.

[She keeps her hold on him when he starts to wiggle, though. Well. Until the fact that he's twice her size hinders her. She squints at him, frowning.]

Are you gonna be okay, though?

[Dandy may visually bristle at sarcastic remarks or jabs at his overly inflated ego, but if he were to speak the truth, they make him feel right at home. It's not as though Meow and QT ever sing his praises, anything but! He appreciates that Joy took the time to help him out, although... The bastard won't say it out loud, not at present.]

[She's still holding on to his arm, but lightly. More like she's making sure he's actually there.]
