Funeral Service for Adaman and Hodaka Morishima

[ An hour or two after the first trial's end, Hild and the Undertaker set out to invite as many people as possible to the Restaurant for the funerals of our dearly departed friends.

Why the restaurant of all places? Because there aren't enough chairs and tables elsewhere.

Indeed, some of the tables have been moved against the wall to make room for the seats. The chairs have been set up in four rows of six, like an improvised theater or a church. To the side, a small buffet has been set up courtesy of Obi, Mafuyu, and Hild. As for the main event? Two tables have been set up and decorated in black fabric and white flowers. In lieu of a live viewing, two drawings referenced from the profiles have been set up in the center of funeral wreaths... They're not the best, due to the artist's handicaps, but it does look like Adaman and Hodaka at least.]

Would them mentioning Adaman's... deity be a problem to you? Or is it just the ones you're familiar with?

[ Is she legitimately curious, or is she just trying to figure out the limits of Nandor's whole deal? ... Tough to say. ]

That is actually quite curious. You see, normally, if I do not understand the significance, there are no problems. Also applies when the religion is total bullshit, like Scientology. It may be because I walked in on him praying two weeks ago, and it was just so obviously religious...

Those seem like some pretty arbitrary limitations. Like someone could tell you that they worshiped any person or food with some kind of extreme religious-like devotion, and it would affect you?

[ ... at least in her case she doesn't need to remember to constantly police herself just to make things easier, because none of it applies, but it sure seems like a massive pain. ]

Look, I do not usually trouble myself with these things. You know it counts if you start smoking, and then you either kill the person, or you retreat. But here, you know... lots of time to think about it.

It might be worth making a point to avoid that kind of talk the next time we find ourselves here, then, so you're not forced to remove yourself out of necessity.

[ Less of like. Nandor participating in any group mourning sessions and just overall being limited in where he's able to go. Seems like something that could easily get abused. ]

Well... yes. [ Nandor may be stupid (bottom text) in most arenas, but this just seems like common sense! ] But as you saw earlier, you bring it up, nobody's gonna let it go.

[ nandor's fear boner and nandor's stubborn, borderline chauvinistic need to be the one who deals with this sort of thing himself instantly start throwing folding chairs at each other, and he is simply left to pick up the pieces! ]

Not really, no. Good luck charms can be a problem, and some others that I know have certain weaknesses to hard rock and enka. [ pauses, before elaborating: ] Certain kinds of traditional Japanese music.

[ too bad it's never brought up if anything actually affects hild like that, or if this is just mara's burden of getting dunked on constantly. ]

That isn't to say that our relationship with the divine is anything but tenuous, but at least I can say the Almighty's name without bursting into flames.
