Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.

At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.

There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

[Oh, huh. Looks like someone else is in here today, doing...something similar to the last person he saw in here...]

Is the food in here particularly good...? People seem to be enjoying it.

[Hagakure is currently munching on...a burger! He's got some fries to the side as well.]

Oh, totally. You can't go wrong with cheap fast food. It's all super American, but I enjoy me some good ol' American food from time to time.

Have you ever had a burger, Resty?

Sort of... There was one I got from the machine.

[He got Hodaka's Big Mac. What is a McDonalds.]

They're not at all something I'm familiar with, though. I assume America is another country, where you're from?

You got fast food from the vending machine? That...sounds a little sketchy.

[He hopes Forrest didn't eat it and get food poisoning! ...yet he totally would have eaten the sketchy vending machine Big Mac.]

And yeah, it's far across the ocean from where I'm from. They're pretty famous for their fast food, and it's found its way all over the world. Burgers like this are a big thing there.

I admit I'd never had anything like it before. Much of the food in here is unfamiliar to me - Brett had something absolutely covered in what I assume was cheese in here earlier.

Oh, that was probably the nachos! The basic version is chips, ground meat, 'n' cheese. But they can get fancy when you add some lettuce, tomato, sour cream 'n' guac. It's a pretty common party snack- perfect for a bowling alley.

[He makes a mental note to give those a try later.]

Now I'm super curious, though. What kinda food are you used to?

Mostly things that can be hunted around the place we've been living, nowadays. Birds and rabbits and the like. Sometimes there are deer, which is always nice. Midori grows a lot of herbs and vegetables for our use as well, along with the medicinal ones and her flowers. She's really talented in the garden.

[So, yeah.]

It's all things that can be dressed and cooked ourselves. It's not to say that we don't eat well, because we do; my uncle's wife specifically is a skilled hunter. I've heard she's defeated bears before, and she killed a boar on her first try as a rite of passage for her village.

But we don't have anything like this, and it's never anything as fancy as the restaurant, either.

Whoa... That's like, the peak definition of homemade! Sounds delish to me!

[He's legitimately impressed by this! He definitely can't say he's ever had a meal where everything in it was home grown or hunted down himself. How cool would that be!

And then there's the tale of Mozu and he is just...so enthralled as he listens while munching on his burger.]

Bears? That's so badass! I didn't even know you could eat bear! I mean...I guess you can eat anything if you really want to, but it's not something I've ever seen on a menu.

Thankfully we haven't come across many of them! They're still a bit scary, even if you have such a skilled person on your side.

[Mozu would probably say that it's no problem, to leave it to her, and she'd absolutely kill the damn bear, but that's beside the point. The point being that bears are huge.]

My aunt is really formidable though. Her name is Mozu; she came from a small village somewhere I've never been, and she married my uncle Corrin sometime after she joined the army he's leading. She's really dedicated to the cause. Strong, too; we haven't found anything around camp that she has much trouble lifting.
