Week 4
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.
At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.
There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to the fourth week of Unknown Seas Round 3! Please make sure to mark any investigation toplevels accordingly, post your ac, and you can reach either Mayor Fontaine or Eleanor for conversations! ]

You're a healer, right? You'd actually be the best suited to handle it, besides me. Holy trumps dark elements, or at least it should.

[Or at least, it's never really been called that? Probably because he's not a cleric and so his powers aren't dependent on any sort of god.]

[ 95% of the time when someone mentions healer it means a priest, so it's just kind of an automatic assumption on his part. ]

[ He shifts his attention back to the crystal momentarily. ]
This is more properly...blood magic, or at the very least necromancy. Though things like this shouldn't really exist at all.

[It's something he's heard of, vaguely, but nothing he's ever thought to try; it's nothing he really ever wanted to try, and some part of him still believes it to be a myth, something brought over from other lands.]
Might I ask in what way? I thought that was for the reanimating of corpses.

Most spells need a catalyst, and necromancy isn't an exception. Reviving the dead takes more than just mana. [ He smiles, just a bit. ]
To be clear, I am a mage not a necromancer. But I am currently partied with one, or was before I came here. There aren't a lot of necromancers and they're generally considered a garbage class and profession. The standard necromancer spells function by way of a weak skeleton familiar, and not any actual raising the dead.

[I mean, there are still differences between worlds to consider, but that's not the point.]
Do they raise the dead, though? Even if it's nonstandard.

I wasn't just talking to Jonathan at the seance because I enjoy his company, you know. You can say I've picked up a few things about necromancy from my time with Choi Lee-kyung.
