Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.

At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.

There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

Uh...I don't know. I've read stories where vampires can be repelled by anything as long as the person using it is a true believer. It's just a story, but a lot of that lore seems to be true, from what Nandor's told me.

We just have the stories. If vampires were real, I think we'd probably know about it by now.

I assume it was the same text as the original? Well, aside from the oddly out of place section in the back. That seemed to be a script for a movie, perhaps? I didn't read through the whole thing.

[It was a copy of the script for the live-action Need For Speed movie!! So you know. Kinda outta place there.]

I'm not really religious, but it's sort of inescapable back home.

Really? It's that common?

Oh - yeah. It's omnipresent. In my country, at least, but they've tried to forcibly convert pretty much everybody at one point or another.

Forcibly? Why would they do that?

[Once it's out of his mouth he realizes exactly why they'd do that and shakes his head.]

...To use religion as a form of control, I'm guessing?

Pretty much. Some of them might believe it for real - they're saving souls. But - yeah.

[He shrugs slightly.]

I dealt with a lot of that, growing up. I'm not someone who fits in with that worldview very well.

I understand. If it is very prominent then it could seem... oppressive, whether they mean it or not.

Yeah. And, of course, some of them do. But I...try not to be bitter about it. There's good and bad people in every group.

Yes, of course. It isn't fair to attempt to claim that all the individuals involved believe the same thing.

It's just such an outlier. Boarded up and dusty...nothing like the other buildings.

I found something in here the other day. There was a box hidden under the flooboards, and a whole hidden mechanism in the wall to open it.

[The invite fits easily in his notebook, so he just takes it out and hands it over. It's fancy, for the New Year's Eve Founder's Gala, and addressed to Manfred Von Karma.]

Surely we must figure out what these keys go to at some point...

[hopefully not to a box containing another key, who would do that???]

Ah, I see. I'm sure this will prove to be useful - I wonder just how many Founders there were?

[He's assuming Mr. Von Karma over there is one, anyway.]
