Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.

At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.

There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

I figured out earlier how to not just hit everyone and everything with it, at least... The period immediately after the injection was a bit alarming. Turning it on and off as I like is still taking a bit of work...

[Through some handwaved stuff with Aiba, he has sorted out how not to just fry you immediately! That said, it's not particularly intuitive, because he overthinks everything and would be just the worst Bioshock protagonist.]

Hitting things with it at will is easier for me; it feels strange not having a tome to hold, but I'm used to directing magic in one way or another.

[He turns, and through some weird gesture that he doesn't seem to have quite practiced enough to be fluid, he manages to fire off a heavy shock of electricity, obliterating one of those targets on the field.]

[So it takes some time to adjust to it, and it can be channeled somewhat like magic... huh!!]

Incredible... I had no doubts that it did what the Mayor said, but it's something else seeing it in action.

[Having access to this kind of power at all is a little wild to think about. He can see where people would want to try it out or would want to use it as a replacement for the powers they've lost.]

It is. I'm finding myself a little fond of it, but not nearly so much that I would kill anyone over it. I would prefer to go back to having my own magic, rather than using this as a replacement.

Of course. I would imagine most people prefer their own abilities or magic over this.

[Which is why some people had some weird reactions to the motive...]

Certainly. I mostly wanted this as a way to fight back if anything happens...

I know I alarmed a few people, and I am sorry about that. But I don't regret it, either.

I understand where you're coming from and I don't blame you for it.

[He was there and quiet through all of that despite the fact that I forgot to comment but it wasn't like he was judging Forrest or anything. Forrest is right in that he's unfortunately an easy target; if this makes him less of one, then he should make use of it.]

Hopefully so. I've been doing my best to ensure I'm not out late on Thursday nights, and that I'm armed in some way when I go out. But this is...better, to me. More familiar, even if I don't have a tome with me.

I can see how it would be; it may not be exactly the same, but it's certainly has quite a few similarities to magic - at least from what you've described.

It does, yes... And it's powerful, too. I'm going to have to be careful if it comes to having to use this against a person.

Yes, of course. I suppose the Mayor wouldn't want to go halfway with these...

[They have to be deadly so we can at least get an accidental kill or something!! Thankfully(?????) that doesn't seem to have been a concern, rip Hagakure and Jason.]
