Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.

At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.

There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

[There is a quiet pause. He can't really disagree with Brett's thought about defeating Fontaine. Even though he wants to believe that Fontaine will fall, the man just seems so powerful, and since Brett is older than him, he doesn't feel the need to pretend that things will be okay.]

I rationalized it by deciding that Mina needs some sense of closure, so she is not wondering my fate. I understand the hesitation, however. I have not detailed the horrible murders or the sleepless nights I have been through.

Yeah. I don't see any need to leave them with...all of this.

[Bad enough that he, you know, vanished and died. Brett lets out a sharp breath, scrubbing his hand over his face.]

...I shouldn'tve spent the holiday up at the cabin. I mean, it was nice, and Luca was traveling, but I - I should've gone out to see him anyway. I've spent too much time in Whitetail lately already.

[He gently places a hand on Brett's shoulder.]

... I understand. It's hard not to think of the things you could have done once you're in a situation like this. Every day I wished I had turned down my first business trip to Transylvania, or listened when the locals warned me about him.

But I suppose Joy was right, it's better not to change the past.

[Although, he still wonders if that's true.]

I know it wouldn't have saved me from this, but at least...

[Well, at least he would've been with his husband in his last few days. Brett did enjoy the trip, though - planting those trees with the kids.]

Well. Probably would've been bad for me to vanish right out from under his nose, too.
