some moments last forever, and some flare out with love, love, love [afterparty]
[So that all sucked really bad, huh.
Forrest had meant what he said about going to the clinic immediately after all of this, getting medical supplies ready and set up on hand to prepare to receive people - Dandy is the primary candidate for this, whether he likes it or not - but before he goes he grabs Rossiu for the briefest moment before sending him on his way. Sure enough, when the note comes in a few minutes it isn't in Forrest's flowing, delicate hand but rather something blockier and incredibly neat. If you've seen Rossiu's handwriting, you'll recognize it: ]
We're having a memorial gathering in the ice cream parlor in an hour. Feel free to attend if you'd like, or if you would prefer to not be alone.
[...It seems like as good a place as any.
There are some things set up, though not terribly many; the tables are set out and are perhaps a bit closer than they normally would be, but go ahead and make yourself some sundaes, pull up a chair, talk to one another, ruminate over whether Jason and Hagakure would have liked this (or whether Vholran wouldn't have, either way) - it's your night, to do what you want with.]

[He's familiar with them, no doubt.
Taking the controller in his hands he tries to play catch-up on how to actually play the game as he hops on in.]
Er- there's no friendly fire on this thing, right?

[it is an FPS rail shooter! So you know.]

Then we've got nothing to worry about.
[Lock and load!!! He's actually...not that bad at it? Better than you'd expect from him.]
...Y'know, you were pretty impressive back there, at the trial. I mean, I knew you were a terrifying military commander, but, still. Remind me to never get on the wrong side of that.

ayyyyyyyyyyyy]
Provided you do not decide to start attacking people unprovoked or attempt to provoke unnecessary violence, you have nothing to fear.

I do wish I had been somewhat quicker in attempting to confiscate that katana from him when it dropped out of the vending machine.

[He, however, likes watching people fight too much to guarantee he wouldn't stir it up.]
...You know, you say that, but I bet you - boom! headshot! - I bet you'd just be here saying you didn't allow people the chance to defend themselves. Something like that.
[It's not the most perfect transfer; Vholran really wanted to kill a guy. But. Still!]
There's only so much you can do, and hell if anyone knows what the right decision is.

[pew pew pew!]
At this point my regrets are more out of spite than aught else.

[He sneaks a look over to Gaius’ screen, see how he’s getting on - then finds himself being taken over by zombies.]
Just how much spite are you running on? Out of curiosity.

Ah, not very much. I am not a particularly spiteful person by nature, but some people go beyond the pale enough that I find myself indulging regardless...
no subject
[Pew pew! He thinks on that.]
...What does that saying actually mean? How do you go beyond pale? What even is a pale? [Pew. Pew.] It's starting to not even sound like a word. Pale.

I never put that much thought into it. It is simply... something people say. I am sure it has some history to it--perhaps it is something that made sense at some point but no longer has any meaning.

…Maybe it’s pail? You’re beyond the bucket. The bucket symbolising fair and just society. The same one you kick when you die?

I feel like that is... too much of a metaphorical stretch. It could have to do with... one's skin turning pale in horror or disgust. So it is even further beyond that.
Though I am not quite certain why beings of metal would have a similar expression in that case...

I suppose it is not a possibility I can entirely discount, though I think it extremely unlikely.
