non-emergency huddle (week 6 meeting)

[If you're about anywhere Wednesday afternoon, you'll be greeted by Misfire clapping you on the shoulder and drawing you in for a whispered bunch of words:]

Emergency Huddle. Usual spot. See you in ten whilst I round up everyone else.

[And, half-delivering on his promise, Misfire arrives at the bowling alley bathrooms (where else could he have meant?), albeit later than everyone else, to get the meeting going.

There's not much prep work you can do for a meeting in a set of bathroom stalls, but there's a shoddily painted banner across them that reads: 'We survived this far!' It's in the slow process of falling down. Symbolism.]

Alright, cool, that everyone? Whatever - we can start. [He claps his hands.] Soooo... yeah. Let's do the meeting thing.

I never realized she was using a synthesized voice until we found Fontaine's body. Rather, I never considered the possibility.

She definitely doesn't sound familiar to me, either.

I am still quite curious why she would feel the need to hide her identity. It doesn't seem very likely that she is someone any of us are familiar with, and we have ruled out the possibility of the mastermind being among us with her unrecognizable voice.

There could be records of her around. We haven't heard her on any of the tapes yet, but maybe she thinks we will sometime.

[shrug!]

Though we still wouldn't know who she was. Not really - not in any way that could help us.

And even if we did, we have not seen her anywhere around. I suppose we could put her name in a letter back home and give it to Eleanor, but receiving any sort of help has been a difficult task, with or without knowing our captor's identity.

... Speaking of Eleanor, do you think she knows?

... I would be curious to know if Eleanor knows whether Fontaine's been disposed of or not. So far, she hasn't made an appearance on any of these tapes, either, correct?

I'm quite curious about that as well. I suppose it's an easy enough question to ask, although if she did not, I am unsure if I would want to be the one to break that news to her.

I've only gone to talk to her a few times...

[He looks around to see who's been there most - surely that's the way to go, right?]

...I suppose I could ask. She has not been a particularly difficult conversation partner.

I was wondering that, too. But it might not have been about fooling us.

...I wonder if our smiley friend knows her.

I suppose there is the possibility that she did this to attempt to defame Fontaine...

[It's still... weird, though.

Oh, perhaps! I suppose it has been awhile since we contacted them; perhaps they could be more of use to us now that we have more information.
