[ Welcome to... a very nice beach, actually! It's very pleasant here. Carmen has set up a couple bonfires, there's some barbecues with meat to cook... and a lot of beach to hang out on! ]

Welcome to California's Pigeon Point Light Station State Park! Between Santa Cruz and San Francisco, just south of Pescadero, this lighthouse gets it's name from the Carrier Pigeon, a ship that wrecked here in 1853! ... Sorry, old habit. Go party. We have the whole place to ourselves. Most everyone here's been through something like this, or knows someone who has. And... the vending machine's bringing in some friends of yours, too.

[ It's a warm late summer night - not too hot for bonfires, but not too chilly that you need to stick by them to survive.

You've made it to the end. There are fellow survivors to meet and commiserate with, friends to meet or catch up with, and... it's over. For those of you returning, it's been about a year since the end of Round 2, and Carmen's gotten the word out to as many people as she can between trying to help this round and tracking down Round 0. If you'd like to play a hostage from the first motive, just know that they will remember it, but it's up to the player in the main round if time has passed since then or not so... it may have been a day or two ago or it may have been months! And hell with it, if you want to play a Round 0 character you suggested back in r1, come talk to us. Why not?

[Adaman chuckles as he moves to take a seat; Leafeon is gladly going to relish in those pets for as long as he can get them, but Umbreon will join them primly as she sits down.]

Aha, so you've noticed! Indeed, I could not let my other partners and their kin stay behind. [Adaman gestures to the Eevee squad and Jolteon over there, all having a fun time.] These are all Leafeon's children, if you can believe it! And Umbreon is his younger sister; [he'll gesture to her as she bows her lil head slightly] we've been raising and allowing these Eevee and their evolutions for many a generation. They've adapted and grown alongside us, and indeed, we have grown alongside them as well.

It is why I wanted to ask you something. [Adaman turns back to Rossiu with a smile.] It's no secret that Leafeon is quite fond of you, and truthfully, I am thankful that you were someone who seemed to help care for him well. I want to grant you a gift, in return for such kindness, if you are amendable?

Fascinating...

[There are so many different forms! Eevee truly are versatile Pokémon... and they're incredibly cute. Literally all of them are adorable.]

Oh, you don't have to do that. I was happy to help take care of him - he was always well-behaved and understanding. Truly, I don't know what I would have done without him. I think he helped me more than I helped him!

[Taking care of a pet - or in this case, a Pokémon - really was good for him, like Hodaka had said so early on. It's kind of funny how that worked out.]

[Okay, that gets Adaman to chuckle--Leafeon seems to make a bit of a noise at Rossiu in response to that, slightly complaining? To which Adaman will clarify--]

I don't have any doubts about that! You truly do seem lighter, than when you first arrived here, my friend--you have done well to keep your spirits up, and it pleases me to know he has assisted you!

But...I suppose all be told, Leafeon himself is the one who insisted that I ask; he truly appreciates how you have looked out for him, and I think in his own way, he wanted to return the favor to you. He has always been a stalwart help to me, and I think he hypothesized that perhaps you would do well with a partner of your own?

[Leafeon seems to think for a moment, nodding his head a bit, before tilting it side to side--close, at least. It's a little hard for him to convey, being bipedal, but he seems to place a paw on his chest, gesturing out to Rossiu? It's a bit vague, maybe, but he is trying to gesture a return of kindness, in a way.]

I shan't force the issue, of course, should you not be amendable. But truly, I am glad to see he has helped you so. That happiness you feel now...I hope it is one that you have the chance to share with your people, in time, and that you carry it with you always.

[The little Vees do poke over to Rossiu, though, after a moment. One might bat at his hand a bit, and another might curiously sniff at him. Leafeon does make some sort of little statement, that's at least keeping them from being rambunctious for now.]

[He watches Leafeon, and after so long of learning how the Pokémon communicates (which is very clever, by the way) he thinks he has a good enough idea of what that means. Rossiu smiles at Adaman, and Leafeon, and then the little Eevees, reaching out with his free hand to gently pet each one. There are so many!!]

If you two would truly be alright with such a thing, I would be greatly honored. I... never really imagined such a thing, but I must confess I was a bit sad to think about returning home without a constant companion.

[He was never going to voice that thought but given this?? Well, now he can!!]

[Both he and Leafeon wind up chuckling at Rossiu's statement; as if it were a foregone conclusion, but as Leafeon just kind of nuzzles against Rossiu for a moment, Adaman nods in agreement.]

Truthfully, they have a way of making any sort of trial you may face more bearable! I could not imagine a life without one myself; they always have a way of perking your day up, and ensuring that you are never alone.

[The Vees will absolutely take those pets. Sinnoh above, they're being good little Vees and not bouncing around all over the place but they are enjoying being spoiled, that's for sure.]
