[ Welcome to... a very nice beach, actually! It's very pleasant here. Carmen has set up a couple bonfires, there's some barbecues with meat to cook... and a lot of beach to hang out on! ]

Welcome to California's Pigeon Point Light Station State Park! Between Santa Cruz and San Francisco, just south of Pescadero, this lighthouse gets it's name from the Carrier Pigeon, a ship that wrecked here in 1853! ... Sorry, old habit. Go party. We have the whole place to ourselves. Most everyone here's been through something like this, or knows someone who has. And... the vending machine's bringing in some friends of yours, too.

[ It's a warm late summer night - not too hot for bonfires, but not too chilly that you need to stick by them to survive.

You've made it to the end. There are fellow survivors to meet and commiserate with, friends to meet or catch up with, and... it's over. For those of you returning, it's been about a year since the end of Round 2, and Carmen's gotten the word out to as many people as she can between trying to help this round and tracking down Round 0. If you'd like to play a hostage from the first motive, just know that they will remember it, but it's up to the player in the main round if time has passed since then or not so... it may have been a day or two ago or it may have been months! And hell with it, if you want to play a Round 0 character you suggested back in r1, come talk to us. Why not?

Given the circumstances I intend to go back home and brief everybody I know about the events here. They will be interested in knowing there's people out there kidnapping people from other universes for their own purposes.

[Well, not that anyone Aiba knows will be able to do a thing about it, but still, she has to inform them and show as proof the two months of memories she has]

Especially someone like Misfire. Bringing someone like him anywhere is bound to be a disaster in the making.

[She says so with affection, though. She likes Misfire, that's for sure]

[Krok has warmed towards Aiba by one degree seeing her speak of Misfire fondly, and the metal around his optics loosens. It makes talking with an apparent-human worthwhile.

So where have you been hiding? I should have felt you running all the way here.

Misfire asked similar questions when we met. I startled him several times.

What you're seeing right now is a projection I'm using to conceal my form, while my real self is hiding some distance from here. [Hmmmm...] Although we're from different worlds. I suppose it would make no sense to keep secrecy with as much rigidity as I did at first.

[It's not like Krok here would go to Aiba's world and reveal the existence of AI-Balls -- and who would pay attention to that when, you know, there's a transformers robot right then and there, haha. In theory, showing herself should be fine, and Misfire took her real form really well when he saw it the first time]

So a holomatter avatar. [The explanation Krok gives himself is the simplest. Aiba's real body is somewhere out of the way, and she uses this appearance to interact with organics.] Now I feel like I should have sent my own to the party.

[Not that Krok would get too wild or anything. He's just here for Misfire and nothing else. And maybe some looting for supplies, their last ship crash was pretty awful.]

Any reason why you went with that look? It'd stand out on most planets I've been to.

It's what I like. [And what her partner likes, too. She adjusted her appearance according to his tastes, with a few modifications of her own liking] Given I work with humans, I assume seeing a human would allow them to work without getting distracted by my real self.

[She points at the distance, where the small robotic eye hamster is at, waving]

They wouldn't get anything done if I was like that all the time.
