[You know what that was? A fiasco. That was an utter fiasco. Three more people gone on a chance that may not happen! This is horrible. Even if some people dislike her, Rhea... is up to the challenge once more. This time she does it nearly herself: writing out the invitations, ordering the food and telling everyone to meet at the bar. In Ema's honor, of course.

She hands out the invitations herself and if she can't find you, she'll slide yours under your door.]

[ She's on her way back to the pads when Rose finds her. Oh! ]

Yeah. Yeah, I was just about to. Have you ever done this before?

No! But it's a dancing game, right?

It is. You match your feet to the arrows. I used to be...better at it, but it's still fun.

Oh, that's okay. I've never been good at it at all!

But, I thought you said you never... [ It clicks, she gets the joke. ] Oh! Heh... Well, alright then. Let's give it a try.

[ Here comes the most mismatched DDR pair in the world. ]

Rose has danced before and doesn't really need to breathe, but she's probably going to be very hindered by the size of the dance pad. Normally she'd take up more space than this...maybe if she leans on the railing it'll be easier?

After a minute or two, she has a realization:]

Oh, are we competing?

Huh?

[ Her question trips Della up for a moment, and she misses a few arrows. Her metal foot almost catches on part of the pad, but fear not! It doesn't!! ]

O-oh! I mean...technically, I guess? Yeah, but...I don't really...care about that stuff.

Oh! Good! I don't really, either. Dancing is just something you do together, right?

[must be nice not having LUNGS, ROSE]

[ YEAH WHY IS SHE NOT HUFFING AND PUFFING ]

Yuh-huh. Just...s'pposed to be fun. [ She misses a few more steps and the announcer mocks her. ] ...Mostly.

Oh, it's a little mean!

[Rose is hardly getting all of the steps herself, what with everything, but at least she isn't winded on top of it?]

Even if I'm not...being competitive...it still tries...

[ So Della's going to step up her game a little, or at least try. Like, put a little flourish in it! Like when she was younger!

.....Yeah, where do YOU think this is going, less dexterous than she used to be, Della lets out a little yelp and trips, supporting herself on the railing.

The DDR announcer boos. ]

Oh! [Rose stops dancing too, ignoring the machine.]</small. Are you okay?

[ She clings but forces a sloppy grin to her face. ]

Y-yeah! Yeaaah. Takes a lot more than this to stop Della Duck! [ ...She droops a bit, righting herself. As she does, she "flexes" the toes on her metal foot, effectively bending it a few times. She looks down and... ] Oh, jeez. Guess it would be a little harder to dance all elaborately when I can only feel one leg.

[real talk I did not realize she had a metal leg at all until this moment]

Oh, that's true. You can't feel it at all?

[ She shakes her head, righting herself. ]

It's not like it's a new thing. I got used to it pretty fast, with exploring and walking. Sometimes I barely even remember it's there--so, of course I'd default to being all rowdy instead of careful, huh?

Can it get damaged?

Oh, of course. [ She "flexes" it again. DDR has forsaken them but Della sticks her tongue out at it. ] It's fine right now, though. Usually I just repair it...but I kinda worry if it broke here. I'd have to request a few things to get it working again, since...we don't really have metal to work with here.
