FIFTH INVESTIGATION

Morning dawns on Friday with the same sense of horribly mundane not-quite-dread it must by now, everything normal as you wake to leave your rooms and yet... well, the weeks haven't been kind to this usual favorite of days, have they? It's been over a month now since your last normal Friday.

But maybe this one will be different. Maybe you'll all find that despite everything, you've all finally made it to the end of one of The Professor's motives. You've outlasted him, and can see what happens when you all do so.

Or maybe not. Only one way to find out.

[ Well, the most notable thing is probably the several large chunks missing from most of the poisonous plants, for a start. ]

[ Duly noted, and clearly a tell of bad news given he could tell it was recently snatched. Any other plants missing around in here? ]

[ No, but there does seem to be a shallow hole over in the dirt. ]

[valentinus]

[ He'll head over to this shallow hole. How big is it? And after determining the size, if he just like started to disturb the dirt with one of his boots, would anything pop up from it? ]

[ There's a couple things in here, it looks like! The first is a larger pile of pink gem shards! ]

[valentinus]

[ .....Okay then. He'll start to pick up those in his metal hand/claw. What's under the pile of pink shards? ]

[ A carving knife. It looks beaten to hell. ]

[valentinus]

[ He'll take that, and note its current condition. There's no blood, wetness, or any other notable oddities on it by any chance, is there? ]

[ Not on the knife, but there seems to be a little blood dripped here and there around the hole.

That's all there really is to find in the garden, though! ]
