Friday, the day The Captain set for your murder deadline, arrives without much fanfare. There are no trumpets, you aren't woken up by any kind of monologue or announcement... dawn simply arrives. Wonder what that means. Maybe yet another of The Captain's plans has fallen through.

The hallway outside of your rooms seems free and clear of anything suspicious, but... something tells you it might be a good idea to check farther afield. Happy investigating, passengers!

[Freyja rather likes the top deck and the pool, so she'll be making her way up there eventually; the first thing she sees is Adeline, which isn't a surprise, but...]

Adeline...? What are you...

[...doing, but then she notices that there's someone else in the water and. Oh.

She just kind of stares, honestly.]

...it's Carmen. She was like this already when I got up here... [Adeline's tone is still mostly even, but faltering somewhat.]

[It's sort of an inane question; she's still looking at Carmen's body rather than at Adeline. But of course she was, because she looks very dead and if she wasn't already like that then that means Adeline-

God, she's just gone full deer in the headlights.]

She's so still. It's strange, isn't it?

...it is. I already knew, when I saw her facedown like that. Only dead bodies float like that. [Adeline's finally managed to move the body mostly to the edge of the pool.] And now...we have to figure out who did it, don't we?
