So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

[A disappointed sigh.] Do you think you could recognize the handwriting if we found another message like that? That might help us figure out how many others have been here before us...

Even if I couldn't, I can go get the tile if needs be. It wasn't cemented in, it was easily removed from the floor and I remember where it was.

Might be for the best to take it with us, I guess. I can go get it after we're done here.

...yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I wonder if it'll get replaced?

That's interesting - maybe, who knows.

Maybe it'll give us some idea of the level of professionalism of the cleaning staff.

Or at least what they have replacements for. I can't imagine tile being something they've got in abundance down here, or it being too worth the effort of a supply drop.

[She actually chuckles slightly at the mental image of a submarine arriving to drop off one single tile.] Probably not. But they could have leftovers, if they bought in bulk the last time they tiled the place.

Yeah, exactly. Replacements wouldn't surprise me. Either way, if I can make their lives just slightly more inconvenient, then I'm all right with that.

[She's not sure if it's the best idea to inconvenience the cleaning staff when none of them have even met them yet.]

If they don't replace it, I hope it doesn't backfire and result in someone tripping. [Though her tone is a bit more lighthearted there.]

It was in one of the corners, so at least it's not a total hazard.

Fair enough. Maybe they'll just move a trash can to cover it up.

The message--was it written in red?

Yeah, it was. Weirdly-capitalized, too, one of the letters was lowercase while the others weren't.

I found a message like that, too.

[He starts rummaging in the folds of his cloak for something.]

Where?

I'd rather not say. I copied it down, though.

[And once Therion hands over his folded note, perhaps Birkin can deduce why he would rather not say where he found it aloud. Not here and now, anyway.

After all, no surveillance "in here" confirms there's surveillance elsewhere.]

[...That makes sense, yeah. He did figure for surveillance, because the rules would be completely unenforceable otherwise, but...hm.]

...All right, yeah. That's good to know.

I couldn't make anything of the strange writing, but maybe we haven't found enough of these messages. There may be a code.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The capitalization didn't seem to mean anything on its own but maybe there's something there when taken as part of a bigger picture.
