So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

[ Daisy is caught off-guard enough by Della that she doesn't immediately bound over, but Mira holds her back all the same. ]

She came out of the vending machine, if you can believe it.

...That asshole put a dog in the vending machine?!

What kind of scumbag would even do something so absolutely-- [ So her voice keeps going higher and it's turning into just angry noises. ] I can't believe him!

[ Daisy's tilting her head as she watches Della. Duck friend?? U ok?? ]

I'm just glad I was able to get her out of there. And she's not injured in any way... nor does she seem to be hungry or thirsty, so...

[ What the fuck's going on. ]

[ Della finishes this up by kicking the vending machine. ...With the metal leg, she's not a masochist or anything.

Some heavy breathing, sighing, grumbling... ]

What a...absolute...salad-brained palooka... [ Breathe. Straighten up. ] I am...calm. Calm. Completely calm.

[ did she scare mira or the dog fjdisafew oops ]

[ Daisy seems to get the idea that the vending machine is a toy! So she paws at it, doing a little hop with her stubby legs. Mira doesn't seem frightened, either; she gets it! ]

I'd offer you some tea if I had any with me right now. Or... maybe a punching bag?

Punching bags in the fitness room are too high.

[ Woe is her, to be a duck whose center of gravity is so much lower than everyone else here.

She scratches her head. Sheepish. ] A bit of a...temper runs in the family. My brother Donald got the worst of it.

Usually I just...channel all that into doing something, but around here? Pfft.

[ Oof. Maybe in the future they can scrounge something up for Della to Punch.

I wonder... What do you usually do, Della?

[ She starts counting off on her (four) fingers. ]

Go on an adventure, build a contraption, log on to Legends of Legend Quest, tear up the skies with the Cloud Slayer...

All things I can't really do here.

Well...

Maybe you could ask Angel for some kits to invent something? It... wouldn't be quite the same, but you'd be able to build something.

Hmm... I could ask her, yeah... But I think it'd feel kind of hollow. Part of the fun of it all is jury-rigging something out of kind of worthless parts. It's like...something to take all the nothing, all the frustration and turn it around.

[ She...actually pats her metal leg. ]

That's true... Well, maybe somehow we'll get some sort of workshop?

[ haha surely we won't get any additional areas that would be silly

But-- Oh! Mira peers at it, eyes widening. ]

You made that yourself?

[ There's a sort of sheepish grin on Della's face. ]

Sure did! A little...rushed, you know, but...works well enough. [ She lifts it and flexes the toes. The whole front of the foot moves as one. ] Amazing what you can do with some spare parts.

This is rushed? [ Her eyes widen a little, and Mira? Is absolutely in awe. ] If that's rushed, I'd love to see something that isn't.

[ Della waves a hand in dismissal. ]

Oh, you can do anything with the right motivation! [ A little laugh, sort of forced. ] My specialty is anything that flies. I've had to fix up those more times than I can count.
