So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

...There's animals in this?

[ ...he really shouldn't be surprised, honestly. ]

[philoxenia]

[ She nods, and the dog? Looks curious about Vincent. Mira holds her back, though. ]

B-but it's more than that-- She's mine. From home.

[valentinus]

Your dog, then.

[ He'll state simply, watching the curious animal with hardly much interest. But, all dogs are good in his book. Well, most. ]

What's her name?

[philoxenia]

Mm, I've had her for a couple of months.

[ An actual baby, who keeps trying very hard to go to Vincent. ]

Daisy. [ Her ears perk up at her name. ] Behave yourself, okay?

[valentinus]

She seems excitable.

[ Aw... ]

If she wants to say 'hello', I won't mind.

[philoxenia]

She does have a lot of energy.

[ Mira scratches her behind the ears-- ]

Gently, okay? [ Daisy lets out a very soft bark and trots on over to Vincent, before she sits right in front of him. ] There. Good girl.

[valentinus]

[ Vincent will hold out his hand for a sniff - the one that wasn't a metal claw. ]

You've been taking care of her well. I could tell, based upon how ready she's willing to listen to you.

[philoxenia]

[ Daisy gives his hand a sniff, before butting her head against it. ]

Her breed requires quite a bit of training... They're working dogs, so they can get out of hand very easily if they're bored. But, thank you.

[valentinus]

Good girl.

[ His lips quirked upwards slightly. And then he'll give the dog soft pets. ]

There's no need for thanks. [ ... ] What kind of job does Daisy do?

[philoxenia]

[ Ah, this is a good person. Daisy gives a happy whine and licks at his hand. ]

Well... it's not what she does, exactly. They were bred to be herding dogs, so... that behavior is there, even if she doesn't do it herself.

[valentinus]

[ ... The dog was a little spot of light in this kind of situation. ]

I see. Well, it's good the both of you were able to reunite in all this.

[philoxenia]

I'm glad we were able to, too.

[ Daisy is but a simple dog, but she agrees. ]

So... you're fond of dogs?

[valentinus]

[ Sometimes, it was the simplest things. ]

...I suppose I am. There's little to dislike about them; loyal, steadfast. You could not ask for a better companion.

[philoxenia]

And she's an excellent cuddler.

[ She pauses. ]

I'd still like to know why she was in there.

[valentinus]

I imagine to the amusement of the Professor. Though how he would manage to keep an animal in such a machine in good condition is another question entirely.

[ Or maybe not, considering how science could be. Still, it was rather questionable to him nonetheless. ]
