WEEK 3

You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.

And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?

December 31st.

The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.

Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!

And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

They're an absolute pain to fight, though. Total brutes, I tell you!

Oh? What are they like in a fight? I imagine they use their claws and... teeth, maybe?

That, and they can cast some nasty magic! We had some close calls with them.

Really? There aren't very many monsters that use magic where I come from... They do sound like quite the nasty foes!

I envy you there! I could go on for ages about the nonsense we've put up with...

[But we have laser tag to get to still. /s]

Still, it's a little comforting to know that us Erdreans aren't the only ones who have to deal with pesky freeloaders while sailing!

Certainly not! It's very surreal to be out at sea without being attacked by monsters ever ten minutes... I doubt I'll ever get used to it!

Well, we do have the Kraken filling the monster position... I'm just glad she doesn't have plans to come up here. I've had enough of giant tentacled creature attacks after that Tentacular...

Something that looked somewhat similar, I'd imagine? I'm sure Mr. Jones would be quite cross with us if we were to try to fight the kraken... So it's certainly a good thing that she tends to keep her distance!

[hopefully she doesn't mind all the junk we keep tossing overboard???]

Very similar. But I'd rather not fight her, anyway! She's Davy darling's friend, after all.

[And the less they get on Jones' bad side, the better.]

I wonder how long they've known each other... I may have to ask Mr. Jones about that at some point! It seems like every time I speak with him I have something more pressing to ask instead...

[The delicate balance between "getting useful information" and "annoying Davy Jones" is one he does not want to upset...]

Ooh, that's a good question! Please let me know if he gives you an answer on it, whenever you get the chance! I've been meaning to talk to him more, myself... I did find out that we can use the theatre for performances, but nothing else terribly groundbreaking.

Oh, really? And here I was thinking he wouldn't want to let us intrude on his space...! That's excellent news, we'll have to make use of that at some point!

I'm glad you agree! He has that lovely organ, too... It's such a shame that he doesn't seem keen on performing.

I've only caught him playing it once, but it was incredible!

I think I can understand why he might not want to perform for us, though. We are a bit of a strange group...

Now that you mention it, though, you're probably right about his reluctance to perform for all of us. I'm still surprised Alice and Magica didn't heckle my own.

Honestly, I am too... I suppose you must have made a good enough impression on them!

I guess so! I'll definitely take them tolerating me over how that first meeting went...

[It's not easy to make Sylvando all grumbly, but Alice and Magica's betting definitely earned it.]

Honey, I could go on about frustrated they make me sometimes, but I really shouldn't. [Gossip is fine every once in a while, but this really isn't the place for it...] I just try to work around them.

Mm, no, not particularly. I may go poke around some of the new areas to see if we've missed anything... or go play laser tag, that seems entertaining!
