WEEK 3
You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.
And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?
December 31st.
The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.
Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!
And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 3! Remember to turn in your AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

I see... Might I ask what the name is for people like you?
no subject
Colloquially, we are the Children of the Goddess. But...I am technically a Grandchild of the Goddess. Among those of us who remain, we are Nabatean.
[She actually looks...a little relieved? To get to say this to someone in general.]
no subject
[She's never heard the term before and it's clear.]
This...grants you long life, I presume. Among other things, perhaps?

We can live for a very long time, and our blood holds power in the form of Crests. Usually, we could also transform into our true forms, but...that is something my...father and I are no longer able to do.
no subject
May I ask why...?
no subject
[She pauses. This one is a bit of a raw memory.]
She...could transform. But we never knew. And in the end, her own grief consumed her. She took to her true form, but she had completely lost herself, and if we did not stop her...

[She's quiet for a moment. Resting her head down on her arms.]
I'm sorry. About your aunt. Losing family is...it's always difficult.
no subject
...Thank you. It...will never be something I am used to. But that is also partly why I am trying to keep it a secret.
[The Agarthans hated her people, hated Sothis, for reasons she may never fathom. Edelgard hated her, too, though she had stated her intentions - she felt that Flayn and Seteth and Rhea were controlling all of Fodlan and keeping the people subjugated.
And, well, she could sort of understand that with Rhea after learning the extent of her actions, but also, Edelgard kept her locked up in a dungeon for five years and let her health deteriorate? And also Flayn never wanted to control or subjugate anyone? It's complicated. She's still slowly working it out in her head, but at least she could understand a little of Edelgard's hatred.]
There are so few of us left. And those who discover us have usually done...horrible things to us.

As for the end portion of that...well, she knows how that can be too, in a way.]
I understand. The álfar have long been a dying race; of our original number, there was only my brother and I. Now I suppose there's only me.
But for a while, we were able to add to our numbers; I will be able to do so on my own, should I so choose. The álfar can be created, rather than naturally born. So we will survive, in the end.
Hopefully you will be able to remain together. With your loved ones, for the time that you have left.

...Thank you. I hope so as well.

Thank you for telling me this, Flayn. It does mean quite a bit to me that you would.

You are very welcome. [A beat.] I wanted to be sure I told you at some point. Plumeria...found out by accident, through my own thoughtlessness. And she is a retainer in your care. So, it is only right that you both know.
