WEEK 3

You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.

And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?

December 31st.

The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.

Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!

And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to week 3! Remember to turn in your AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

But then, how was everything but them reset?

It's freaky.

... If the only constant in changing realities or 'time' is our existence as individuals who haven't sailed past the veil of death, then that constant would not change if 'we' are the ones being transported. It's only natural that, in that case, those who lost their lives would be unable to accompany us, and that's why their lives wouldn't return to them even as our surroundings had seemingly 'reset' themselves before us.

Of course, that's just another hypothetical.
sivard: (⚡ and if you do that)

[Zaveid seems to consider this for a very long moment.]

....I guess that would make sense.

I hate saying it, but we're not going to know if your hypothesis is likely until another attack happens, are we?

That would be correct.

Though, I doubt we'll be waiting until next week before someone strikes once again. Losing an important memory is bound to unsettle someone enough so that they'll act.

[ Risotto clearly wasn't the type to beat around the bush about things like this. ]
sivard: (☄ looking for something)

Unfortunately, I think you're on to something.

For me, I guess I'd be more unsettled if I had the faintest idea what I was supposed to have forgotten about.

[ This would be one of the times in which he wished he wasn't, really. ]

I assume that it's like that for others as well. But, it's unfortunate that everyone can't be the same way.
sivard: (☁ seek the answers you need to know)

...yeah.

Not knowing means somebody is like to act out in paranoia, even if we hope nobody does.
