WEEK 3

You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.

And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?

December 31st.

The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.

Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!

And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

[Oh, that's a mood, Plumeria. Yeager's in here for exactly that reason as well; he's not usually the sort to even enjoy tea all that much, but he's been chilling in the cafe all week and that is not changing today.

The Strabby's new, though.]

...I'm guessing this little guy came out of the machine?

[He's not going to try to get close to the poor skittish thing, but he does spend a moment staring at it. It's moving so like... it's alive, but... it looks like someone glued eyes onto a strawberry?????]

It sure did.

[Trust her, she doesn't know how this thing is alive except by the grace of some twisted god out there. Alfaðör would probably look upon this poor thing with some kind of pity.

...And speaking of, the Strabby is just going to go hide underneath the nearest table, so don't mind it--it's. Just going to be like this. But it's out of sight and out of mind, at least.]

It gave me the runaround earlier when I questioned just what it was. Ugh. At least the cat wasn't just a creature of some sort of child's fantasy world, but this is...

You got a cat out of the vending machine too? My, it really is quite the strange machine...

I'm not entirely sure yet. It seems like it? It's not running away from me yet, so I suppose that perhaps it has.

That machine is entirely strange, though. Apparently, the Captain nor Mr. Jones have any sort of control over what comes out of it--or the fact that it's even here in the first place.

Really? Even they don't know where it came from? And here I thought the Captain was completely in control of everything here...

[Or at the very least, that he thinks he has control over everything. But the vending machine here is just cursed apparently?? Okay.]

That's what I thought. I'm not sure if I'm comforted by the idea that there are certain things outside of his control, or if I should be concerned...

[Plumeria shrugs.]

Then again, the idea of the Captain shaking in his boots because he can't deal with a simple machine has a bit of charm to it.

That is quite delightful, ja? He does seem like the sort to hate anything that he doesn't have direct control over...

[So that's absolutely what we're believing until proven otherwise!!]
