WEEK 3

You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.

And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?

December 31st.

The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.

Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!

And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to week 3! Remember to turn in your AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

The Captain really is just using the vending machine to make us want to kill each other.

[He's pointing at Monopoly. The last time Scott Pilgrim played Monopoly, Kim Pines tried to strangle him. He deserved it, but still.

.......... He has not taken notice of the Strabby. One thing at a time.]

[...Hello there, Scott, Plumeria looks right over at the Monopoly as he points it out and tilts her head.]

As much as I'm sure the Captain would love that, I don't believe that either he or Davy Jones know anything about that machine. It just spits out whatever it wants at us, and we have to deal with the consequences.

What exactly is so bad about this game, though? Other than the fact that it was made by mortal hands, clearly.

[plumeria, it's capitalism: the game, that's bad on it's own]

Monopoly is the game that turns friends into enemies. Kim refuses to play with me anymore because my luck bonus is higher than hers and she always ends up broke first.

[He says this extremely matter of factly.]

[...Holy shit, Scott. Plumeria finds herself tittering a bit at this.]

So clearly the Captain is just going to wind up making us play against one another for the next motive, isn't he? If he wants the harmony on this ship to come to a complete screeching halt.

[She'll take his word for it!!]

It certainly sounds like a rather horrid little game, though. Currency tends to be the root of all evil, from what I've seen in humans...how shameful, that they'd make it into a game.

I think it was actually supposed to be a game critiquing capitalism? But somehow it just turned into small-scale capitalism and now -

[Scott deadass just stops talking. He's staring at the Strabby.]

- uhhhhhhhhhhhh. What was I saying?
