WEEK 4
Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday.
Two murders have passed, now, it is once again December 31st, and life on this cruise ship goes ever onwards.
There are two new areas that you have access to now: a new floor as usual, but also a new section of the topdeck with some... unique amenities.
Who could kill while there's a roller coaster now available, huh? Honestly!

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 4, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

In the Lounge on Floor 2-A, there's, uh. There's sure a thing that's been set up. Four chairs have been dragged to the center of the room to form a sort of fort, draped with an entire roll of fabric. There's a sign out front made of posterboard with neat, flowing script:
Private Confessional
Oh, boy.
If anyone would like to come in and talk about something to someone willing to listen - ie Flayn - they can enter on one side and sit on the provided pillow. The space underneath the chairs has been divided by what looks to be a disassembled and taped-up Ikea box, and your side has some water bottles and tissues for the taking, if needed. When you enter, there's the sound of paper shuffling - an "OCCUPIED" sign being placed just outside - and then the clearing of a throat.]
Hello. What troubles you?
[It's very clearly Flayn, but she will not ask for personal details, and if pressed, she will insist she is "Anonymous". It's. Kind of weird, but also sweet? She's trying, okay.
Later in the evening actually spots her at the bar of all places - but the drink in her hand is very clearly brought in from the Jimmy Buffet, and if you spot her asking for a refill, she very specifically specifies a non-alcoholic mix of juices, which our new Robot friend doesn't seem opposed to giving someone as babyfaced as her. It's with less exuberance than the ice cream parlor, but she's still swinging her legs back and forth on the stool.]
Whyever did the Captain hide this place to begin with? There is nothing so secret about it.
Private Confessional
Private confessional...
[That sure is what the sign says. Filbo stares at the fort, walking in a circle around it, and taps the top of the fabric, watching it buckle. Paf paf. Alright then.
Luckily, when he decides to take a look underneath the fabric, he does so on the side that's meant for visitors instead of taking the other end to reveal the person behind the metaphorical curtain. He sees the space for getting comfortable and what probably is a divider]
...I think I'm intruding.
[He says that aloud. Clearly this is someone's fort, look at the bottles and everything. Perhaps he should step away before the owner of this hideout comes back and finds him snooping around, he figures]
no subject
[That sure is Flayn's voice coming from the other side of the cardboard divider. She's just gonna put the Occupied sign up...]
Is there anything that troubles you? If so, you may discuss it here freely.
no subject
[Apparently Filbo hasn't caught onto the point of the whole private confessional thing. What's the state of grumpus religion, I don't have the foggiest idea, haha]
no subject
[There's really very little in the way of being truly anonymous, but the setup is. The setup's important.]

Despite how obvious it should be from the fish fabric, he's not really clear what he's dealing with here until he hears her voice from the other side. ]
Oh. Hey, Flayn.

[DECUS........]
No, it - I am anonymous! This is a private confessional and we are both unknown to each other! That is how it works.
no subject
[ Uh. ]
So... this is just for talking about problems, and not literally about confessing to crimes or anything?
no subject
Oh Goddess preserve her.]
That is correct. It is only for expressing one's concerns and problems.
[She is not confident she can really forgive someone of criminal acts in a confessional setting...]

And here he thought he left confessional booths back at church. When he hears Flayn's voice, a grin pulls on the corners of his mouth. He'll humor her, sure.]
Many things, love, but if I confessed them all we'd be here for a good few weeks. [He sits down and crosses his arms.] What inspired you to put this all together, then?
no subject
I thought it necessary for those of us who remain on this ship to have a place where they can express themselves without feeling judged, yet still be listened to. Advice could also be given upon request. [A beat.] After yesterday...it seems something we are sorely in need of, if only to find some measure of peace for the moment.
no subject
[Kind of grim, but....you know.]
But it does lead me to ask--who listens to you, my dear confessional booth?
no subject
[It's cute but it's her way of also saying that she can very easily pretend she's never heard any of this and be totally surprised if you want to tell it to her in person and not from the other side of a cardboard partition.]
Me? Well...if I am truly in need, I will go to a friend. Asking for help can be difficult, but it is not impossible.

Freyja is...very cautiously around today, moreso than she was yesterday, and that's when she finds the, ah, structure? "Structure" feels like a generous word. But even so, she finds whatever Flayn has constructed, and she is somewhat curious, so... In she goes?
...In she goes and oh god, Flayn is talking to her, and, uh.]
...I don't know. What sort of troubles does one usually discuss in these sorts of things?
[THERE'S A LOT THAT'S TROUBLING HER, FLAYN, BUT MORE TO THE POINT why are we talking about this in a tent, this is new?]
no subject
Whatever burdens one's heart. It could be something monumental, or something very small. No burden is too difficult or insignificant to be expressed. Sometimes it is easier to do so when there is some privacy involved.

How does one apologize when they have deeply hurt someone, then?

I am not troubled. [he's seemed soooooo fine he's greeeeeeeat~] Is this a religious practice?
no subject
[Flayn is still keeping up the bit - she's committed now.]
Where I am from, people would submit requests to a counselor in the church, which could be reviewed and answered by members of the clergy or professors at the academy. There are also private rooms similar to this for more direct counseling.
[Just wait until someone tells her about the Catholics.]

I...am here to listen to your troubles, and offer a sympathetic ear. Advice as well, if you so desire. But I sadly do not know what you might mean by an adventure log.

Which I suppose is not that different a concept, all things considered, given that it frequently involves discussing one's problems and seeking advice on what to do going forward.

[ way to be descriptive, Albedo. ]
no subject
[It's great because Flayn hasn't spoken to Albedo...much? If at all? The entire time she's been here, so it really is very anonymous.]
You need not go into detail, but clarification might help - is it something to do with your home, or something to do with here?
no subject
It is something that pertains to myself—so it is present both in my home world and here as well.
