Friday, the deadline for The Professor's generous offer, dawns like any other. The automated cycle of lights, the only real indication of time passing here on the seafloor, passes into an imitation of daylight with a series of clicks and the hum of bulbs intensifying their glow.

Just last night, spirits were high as many of you watched movies and chatted. But as you leave your rooms today, there's something... foreboding hanging in the air. A quiet stillness, almost unnatural.

[Okay. No sign of Therion before the announcement goes off, but the first thing he does is run to where all the people are, linger in the back for a second, holding his scarf, and then hoof it to the men's restroom--the one place he knows has no surveillance.

The only thing immediately off from the doorway is probably uh... you know, just some blood drippings around the place. That's a pretty big only thing. ]

[COOL. Are they gathered towards one place, or just kinda scattered all over?]

[ Who or whatever left them seems to have come through the door and traveled around the place. ]

[All right. Well, he's gonna travel around, too, avoiding the blood, and kinda kick all these stall doors open. (Or pull them open slightly more awkwardly with his foot, if they open outward.) DID ANYONE BUMBLEFUCK A KNIFE INTO THE TOILET? OR ANYTHING?

It's been two weeks and no one told Therion that toilets aren't trash cans.]

1. What kind of knife? If he can tell just by looking. He's not sticking his hand in there. ...Yet.
2. Is there anything on the handle to indicate someone tried to flush it?]

[ 1. Well, has he received or seen one of the knives from the vending machine?
2. The best indication of whether or not someone tried to flush it is probably the blood still in the toilet water. ]

...Hey. Jasper. Can you hold something for me?

[He pulls a Ziploc bag out from under his cloak, shakes some safety pins out of it into his palm, and holds them out to her.]

There's a knife in the. Thing. I'm fishing it out.

[hardnosed]

[ Jasper pokes her head out of the vending machine room when she hears the fuss, and hangs around on the outskirts until she gathers what's happened, and then notices Therion — the information guy — slipping away. After a second of thought, she heads after him, abandoning all her winnings in the place where she got them. Enjoy the loose skull and the knife, guys! ]

[ Hello, Jasper! Welcome to the human biology zone! Would you like to investigate for evidence? ]

[ What the heck, let's do it. Any toilet stalls that might be in here are kinda cramped for her, so she's probably going to start by checking out the sinks. Any evidence they've been used? Any more spare human juice? ]

[ Well, one of the sinks is the lovely brown color of dried blood! ... This is assuming Jasper knows that blood dries brown, but. ]

[ HONESTLY IT'S A TOSS-UP but either way, it's something to look at while Therion's on toilet patrol! Is there any similar Mysterious Brown Residue on the taps or the faucet? ]

[ Maybe a little? Whatever mysterious substance left this brown residue was clearly watered down, it's a tough call.

Though speaking of it, there's something fun on the ground in here, too! ]

[hardnosed]

[ Clearly it's time to reach in and run a finger along the inside of the sink! And then sniff it. Is it the entire sink that's stained, like someone was washing off a huge amount of blood, or is it concentrated around the drain? Also, how 'bout them mirrors? ]

[ That's the smell of blood, babey! And it's not the whole sink, but a decent portion. ]

Oh.

[ Welp, that's happened! Before she helps Therion with operation toilet knife, is there anything else in this area worth nptiving? ]

[Therion's silent for a while as he takes in the scene. When he finally looks at Jasper, his voice is hard.]

...Forensic investigation.

Looks like it.

[ She sounds like she always does, of course. At least now it fits the situation. ]

Wonder whose blood this is. She didn't seem like the type to die without a fight.
