[Indeed, if you come to the bar you'll find there's one of everything. Filbo seems to have asked literally every drink he knows or has at least heard about, and lined them up from the most mellow to the strongest. There's one of each, so it's limited, take yours before it's gone! Or...ask Jimmy Buffett for more, he's right there.

Should he be encouraging drinking? He's not completely certain, but he had to do something! And this is as good as anything -- not festive because this is no time to be festive, but also social enough to encourage coming.

[That was a lot. If he's being perfectly honest with himself, he's not sure how he feels - or if he's even feeling anything at all, at this point. But there's something he wants to see to first, so he heads to room 9. You can find him in there sitting on the floor and reading the letter Freyja left for him, or you can find him cleaning up the room - tidying up the beds and making sure everything's neat and presentable, just as Freyja requested in her journal (which he definitely read). He's going to go through Freyja's things as well, mostly just to make sure there's nothing personal left out but also... well, also just because it gives him something to do, and maybe he'll leave out anything that seems fitting to remember her by.

After all, the dead don't have to live with the consequences of their passing. Like it or not, she doesn't get a say in whether she's going to be remembered, so that's exactly what he'll do.

At some point when Magica isn't in, he'll swing by and grab Plumeria's letter as well, but otherwise you can find him in the bar. He's not cheerful today, but he's not openly upset either. Instead, he seems to be working on notes of some sort, with that purple key sitting out next to him. If you happen to come on in, he'll wave you over.]

I'm trying to make sure we have everything we've found written down so we don't forget anything. What have you found here that could be useful?

[To Constantine's credit, he hasn't consumed a single drop of alcohol since leaving the trial. When he walks into the bar, Yeager waves him over, and Constantine blinks.]

Nothing terribly exciting. Had a chat with Jack. Gained some...insight as to why our dear captain the way he is.

[He glances down towards the purple key on the counter top, then back towards Yeager.]

What did you find with that blue key the other day, anyways?

[Look at you go, Constantine!!]

It opened up a room in the back; there were some robots inside.

[Unfortunately, that's still ongoing, so that's all the info he's got right now!!]

But that certainly does sound interesting. What did you learn from him?

[Constantine glances behind him, as if expecting Jack to be looming over his shoulder to overhear. He leans closer towards Yeager, lowering his voice to a murmur.]

I don't think he expected to be brought to his world, either. Something must've happened--but whatever happened doesn't matter, since he immediately took an opportunity. He got a tip about a source of all the "loot and power you could want", and decided to set his sights on the sea. That's what I figure he's after, in the end.

[He pauses, shrugging.]

It's pretty easy to get the guy to talk--just stroke his ego a bit, and he'll fall over himself trying to prove to you how great he is. I'll share everything at our next meeting, of course.

[The Captain was brought here? That's one he wasn't expecting. And his mind immediately went to greed which seems like it scans, honestly...]

I'll be sure to keep that in mind, ja. I'm afraid I haven't turned up much else that may be relevant, but I'll certainly keep looking!

Constantine hesitates, sitting up and going back to his normal tone of voice.]

Everything seems to connect back to the Bermuda Triangle. I almost have to question whether one of its anomalies is what brought us here in the first place.

[He snorts.]

Look at me, sounding like a proper conspiracy nut.

[vesperia conspiracies are probably all things that are true, i get to decide this because no one else is playing a vesperia in this game and cannot contradict me.]

The Bermuda Triangle certainly does seem to hold quite the mysterious power... I hope we're able to learn more about it.

People have been spendin' decades trying to figure out the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle. I don't think anyone's gotten it quite right.

[Not even Constantine knows...! Sometimes, mysteries are meant to be unsolved. A smirk pulls on the corners of his mouth.]

Also, as a side note, the man thinks far too highly of himself. He had the gall to think that I was flirting with him.

[Which, you know, complimenting him was the point to distract him, but....]

Though really, his ego is almost impressive... I do believe it'll be his downfall, but we need to be careful not to underestimate him.

[Listen! He wasn't even doing it intentionally at the time!!!!! He can't land a date with Davy Jones, but with Jack, apparently???

Constantine makes a disgusted expression, sticking his tongue out.]

Ugh. As if I'd shag a man with a mask stapled onto his face.

I do think he's sufficiently defended in case anyone tries to make a move against him. A full-on attack will do nothing to help us.

Agreed, though. We may have access to him now, but even if we all were to rush him at once, I can't imagine that would end well for us. He's only opened his office up to us because he's prepared for that possibility now. So as always, we'll need to proceed with caution and try very hard to find a way to solve our problems that doesn't involve violence.

[...For now......... once we've got Davy Jones' heart it's all over for you, Captain!!!!!!!!]

[Constantine pauses slightly, rubbing his chin.]

I'm curious--if you had one chance to get at Jack, what would you do?

[You know, as a last ditch effort kind of thing. How creative would you get, Yeager?]

[Hmm... He considers that for a moment, inclining his head in thought.]

I suppose it depends on the circumstances. Regardless, he's going to expect for me to rush him; I am ultimately a fairly straight-forward fighter, after all. My largest advantage in a fight is how unpredictable I can be because of my weapon, but that isn't a possibility here, given that my weapon isn't functioning properly. So assuming his information on all of us is as thorough as it seems to be, he'll know that I rely on unpredictability and my strength above all else.

[Expect the unexpected... and also expect a massive scythe to the face, in other words.]

He'll want to keep me at a distance, then; that would be safest. If I were to kill someone here and I were to be executed... well, I doubt he'd be willing to be on the deck where I could get at him without one of those dolls.

[He's mostly just thinking aloud at this point, but that gets him to pause and incline his head a bit.]

If I had one shot at him, I wouldn't want to go alone. I'd want someone else with me - make him think that I'm the only one who would attack him in that moment, and draw his attention - he may be able to stop one of us with a doll like that, but he may not have a second one.

[Of course, all of this is quiet, just in case the Captain's feeling like listening in on us today.]

[She stops to see him before she leaves with some drinks. She takes one of the pieces of paper from her pocket and scrawls something:

[Ohh, now that's interesting. He's going to read it and then tear it up just in case, but he's certainly noticed. Something to see if we can bring up discretely at the meeting, then...]

[She nods. It's not like she's hiding that but it's not something that should be open information.]

Well! That was quite a trial, wasn't it?

[Exactly. Better to try to keep her presence a secret if we can!!]

It certainly was... Figuring all that out really wasn't easy.

It wasn't. I think if she kept going as she was we might have given up on Freyja.

I thought it was her. Once Filbo brought up the motive, I was certain. I was wrong about why she killed Plumeria, though.

[He just didn't voice this thought because he really wanted it to be wrong...]

Yes. I thought it was her but, well. I suppose it was a bit awkward being between those two today.

[Freyja wasn't hovering near Yeager's podium. She really didn't want to be between Freyja and Filbo today.]

Oh, that's fair. They were quite close... I imagine that was a bit awkward.

In the past it wasn't so bad but, yes. I gave them some room.

It's a bit odd to think she was the closest to actively fooling us and yet she's the person who publicly threatened us all before.

...She's changed quite a bit since then. Not in very obvious ways, but the fact that the motive included us all to begin with proves it.

[If she didn't want that on some level, the motive wouldn't have reflected it. It could have been just her and her brother, or maybe Plumeria and Triandra as well.]

I didn't think she had, for the longest time. I thought she was just playing nice in the hopes that we'd forget and move on. But... no, I do think she was being sincere today.

I suppose that's true.

[She's not even upset at Freyja. She... wishes she was.]

Such sincere thinking isn't something someone sees every day.

It isn't. In the end... I think she wanted to be caught. I think she knew there was no way the Captain would make good on his promise.

[But he sighs once that's out there, shaking his head and waving a hand.]

Well, that's enough speculation. Regardless, we must press forward and see what awaits us next.
